It’s a long story……..

Where have I been?
Well, my mom was in the hospital and then rehab. for the last 10 days.
She got to go home today.
She will have occupational and physical therapy at home.
She has been very weak.
Her pulse went down to 40!
During a procedure, she went into cardiac arrest.
They saved her.
She now has a pacemaker.
This should make her life a lot more comfortable.
I am happy she is home.

Cherish your health and well-being.

Thank you for your support.
I need to get back to me and my mess!
LOL

Will be by asap.

A day in the life of…….

A very special friend, who is like a sister to me, has recently been told she has multiple sclerosis. She has been to so many doctors and has had so many tests, I admire her courage and strength. For a long time, she admits she was in denial. The sensation that her body is experiencing is only known to her. The pain and anguish she feels, she must endure. She has had to start giving herself injections everyday. She can no longer hide and pretend all is fine with her system. She has taken the responsibility of caring for herself, and she must deal both mentally and physically each day with whatever this disease may bring. She has educated herself to MS and has made the decision to fight and hope one day for a cure. Research in the area of MS has grown, so she feels one day soon she will have great news!

She has also come to understand that her friends and family are with her on this journey in life that she must now go through. She understands that she does not need to do it alone…others love her and are with her! I admire her strength. I admire her courage. I admire her sense of humor! I love my friend! I am not going anywhere. I will always be there for her! Friends to the end!

Footnote taken from Wikepedia……

There is no known cure for MS. Treatments attempt to return function after an attack, prevent new attacks, and prevent disability.[1] MS medications can have adverse effects or be poorly tolerated, and many patients pursue alternative treatments, despite the lack of supporting scientific study. The prognosis is difficult to predict, it depends on the subtype of the disease, the individual patient’s disease characteristics, the initial symptoms and the degree of disability the person experiences as time advances.[7] Life expectancy of patients is nearly the same as that of the unaffected population.[7]

BE A FRIEND TO SOMEONE YOU LOVE….FRIENDSHIP HOLDS AMAZING POWER…….

Let’s Dance!!!!!

Do I have to grow up or can I just continue to live like I am living and not worry about it? Million dollar question. Million dollar answer…Yes, I can!

If I want to be ” different” and express myself maybe a little  ” Differently” than some of my friends and family, so what? Who am I harming ,anyway? If I do not care, why should anyone else care? If I want to start dancing in a public place cause I hear a song I ” really ” like, ( we all have those), why can’t I? I was having my hair done, it looks really good…by the way, and while I was at the salon ,a UPS guy came in. He heard a song he liked and really started  ” getting down.” He was smiling and having fun! My type of guy! Not embrassed at all! He was a great dancer! He figured his day went by faster when he had fun! I believe in the same thing. You do not have to be really, really, really strange in public…but. a bit is acceptable. Live each day to the fullest, right?

Do You Have It?????

I was just sitting here thinking, ” How can you tell if you have a good sense of humor, or not?” Are you guilty of that or not? Well, I have my own personal opinions about that. If you want to ” get inside my head,” read on. I personally think that most people are ignorant or stupid. Let me explain what I mean before you have a tizzy over what I just said. Most people rather remain apathetic in life instead of ” living life.” I am not obilvious to all the suffering in the world, I do my part ,where I can ,to help. I just rather go through life with the adjective ” nice” in front of my name when a person is talking about me at my funeral! If you look at the humor in situations where you are currently ” having a heart attack” instead, you have a good sense of humor. When you see a kid misbehaving in an expensive restuarant where you are eating, if you smile and continue eating…you have a good sense of humor. If someone is having a fit on the roads and cuts right in front of you, if you smile and continue driving..instead of flipping that person off,,,you have a good sense of humor. Am I making sense to you? I can give you more examples, if you want. So, I rather have a good sense of humor 99.9% of the time…and only appear stupid and ignorant the other .1%. That’s me.
