Believe in Yourself

I like to stay home. I like to not always have someplace to go. I like getting up in the morning when I feel like it. I like no one telling me what I need to do for the day. I like to make my own plans and see where they go. I do not feel you always have to have a goal that you get all crazy about to meet. Where does it say that I am required to have goals? I personally feel that if I am in the position to do what ever comes my way, why not? If I do want to plan something, why not? Life goes on day by day. I can even break it down to minute by minute. I wish to just see what happens and then do what I need to do. I appreciate others feeling concerned, but it is your choice to feel that way. I am fine. Thank you for being a friend. That means a lot to me. 🙂

Calabasas….The Commons*

I LOVE going to The Commons in Calabasas.  The Commons is a local shopping center that is designed to attract a lot of people who LOVE to spend money. lol You can watch a movie, go grocery shopping, pig out at your favorite food place, check at the books at Barnes & Noble, have coffee at Starbucks, and so much more! The Marmalade is one of my favorite places to meet friends for breakfast or lunch. I am not real big on dinner. Today I was hanging out with my friend Vivian when I decided to take some pictures near two of the little statues that are near the small pond there. I did not get to see the family of turtles today, so I will try to photo them next time. It is so much fun spending time with good friends. Thank you Vivian for taking such cool photos with your fancy phone. lol

Welcome to American Girl Place Los Angeles……The Grove

“Located in The Grove, one of California’s premier shopping destinations, our Los Angeles store features girls’ favorite shops, private dining, and so much more.”

Well, I went here this weekend. Let me tell you, it IS the place to be if you have girls. I had never been to this store before. I was quite shocked. It was a bit disturbing for me. The place is loaded with dolls. They all have names. They all have a book that comes with them and tells you all about them. They come from all walks of life. They all have different outfits to compliment their era. They are loaded down with all kinds of furniture for THEM. Their items cost more than those I would use!!! They have bath tubs, strollers, desks, horses, guitars, bedroom sets, tea sets, kitchen appliances, makeup centers, you name it…they carry it. I wish I were the owner of this store!!! How do they make the money to cover the rent? We figure it cost them about $150,000 a month for the rent!!! I can only imagine the profit this place makes. The dolls cost about $5.00 to make, but they sell them for over $100.00 each.!! My friends daughter has 5. All of her school mates have about the same, or more! Wow, crazy huh?

We had a very nice dinner there. They gave each table a birthday cake and extra treats for the birthday girl. It cost my friend $35.00 each for the kids and $24.00 each for the adults. I think my friend spent quite a bit this year for her daughter’s birthday! We all had fun. We all got to spend time together. My friend is not ever going to do this again, so once is fine. We had a lot of smiles from the girls. That made it all worth it.

Afterwards we walked around The Grove. It is a real happening place. Lots of places to eat. Lots of activity in the streets. Lots of great shopping. Lots of coffee places. They are also near the Farmer’s Market. I was exhausted when I got home, but I was very glad I went. It was very nice of my friend to include us in the celebration.

I decided to have the world see me without my cap on. lol My blogging friend, Lviss seems to believe I sleep in my hat. lol I just got a hairdut. I like it. What do you guys think? I have been busy running around. Doing what..I have no idea! lol I have been going to parties. That is a good thing. I have been grocery shopping. That is a good thing. I have been getting little sleep. That is a bad thing!! lol A girl has got to have her beauty sleep, right? Those bags under the eyes seem to reappear toooo often! lol I seem to be laughing a lot today. Could it be the 5 cups of coffee I have had??? lol See, I did it again. I love to laugh. I love to smile. I love to see what there is to see in this crazy world of ours. Then, I like to talk to you all about it. Aren’t you just thrilled?? lol Oh well, get back to what you have been doing now. Enough messing around here at my blog. I am sure you have better things to do. If not, well..what can I say??? lol
