I started thinking about the Sun today. The Sun works 24/7, and do we really appreciate it? We just take for granted that the Sun will shine and heat us all up and take care of all of us. We are lucky the Sun can not go on vacation or on strike! I love the Sun. It provides us with essentail vitamins. It allows our plants in our gardens to grow. It allows us to see the beauty of nature. The list is endless. So, next time you get up in the morning and see the Sun shining into your window, don’t get mad…..SMILE. If it weren’t for the Sun, we would not be here!

“Where are the clowns?”

“Where are the clown?” They should be here. What is taking them so long. I have not got all day. I have been waiting for some time now. I mean, how long is a person supposed to wait to have a laugh in life? I mean ,shouldn’t there be some funny stuff thrown in the mix for the day? Am I suppose to carry around an umbrella all my days? I want to throw this umbrella away and put on my sunglasses. Let the sunshine in! You too? So, where the hell are those clowns?

Doraz’s Garden Keeps growing and growing…….

Take a look at ” MY CRAZY VIDEOS” and check out my garden. Look at all the stuff I have and if you want to try it…GREAT! I have been enjoying corn, eggplant, onions, cucumbers, tomatoes, and have lots more to come! It’s lots of fun…and you save a lot of money at the grocery store!!!! Be sure you wear a cap and enjoy the sunshine!

Let the Sunshine In……

I recently read an article in the July/August 2008 Weight Watchers magazine. I agreed with a lot of the statements they made. I would like to share some with you. In a recent New York University study, a fellow at the nonprofit Environmental Leadership Program by the name of Patricia Zaradic, Ph.D. said, “ Nature acts as a buffer against life’s stressful events.” I agree 100%.
The article goes on to say that just by working in your garden for 45 minutes , you can lower your blood pressure and heart rate. Nature relaxes you and helps you breathe more calmly and slowly. It also goes on to say that your brain produces serotonin which helps in boosting your mood.
It mentions that you can help guard against osteoporosis by getting 5 to 30 minutes of vitamin D-rich sunlight as least twice a week. They claim that by exercising outdoors, you will feel less bored and be more likely to stick with your program goals.
So, the next time you get up in the morning and see that sun shining into your bedroom window, get yourself out of bed, smile, and take on whatever the day throws at you with a little more sunshine and a lot less stress!
