Happy Birthday to ME

We had the opportunity to travel to Moab, Utah and visit Arches National Park. It was amazing! We got to do some hiking and lots of sight seeing. I would highly recommend a visit! We also got to visit Canyonland National Park. So awesome!

Now I am continuing with my birthday celebration! My family and friends are amazing! So loving and so supportive! I hope you are not to crazy over my photos I like to post! Oh well, have a great time doing what you like to do! I sure am. 🙂

I have been really busy writing away as a Master Editor for my friends at Everipedia.com. Have you created your page yet? What are you waiting for? Come on over! If you want a page, just ask! 🙂

THE 5 BEST THINGS*

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

I’ve been tagged by ERA to write about the five best things that my Hubby has done for me. I will be married 25 years, this November…so he has done quite a bit! I guess I will try to name the top five!
The Five Best Things Hubby Has Done/Does for Me are:
1. With his contribution…I have 2 gorgeous son’s!
2. With his building talents, I have a 1000+ square foot master bedroom…with my OWN master closet!
3. With his quick humor, I manage to smile a lot instead of scream!
4. With his continued success in our company, I am able to buy lots of shoes!
5. With his unconditional love, I feel I am the luckiest gal around!
NOW……..for his bad points! Oh, that is a different story! LOL

Now, as is the custom with blog tags, I tag the following individuals to write a post about the five best things their spouses/significant others have done for them and they in turn, are to tag some friends to do the same. Since most of us all know the same people….I am offering this challenge to anyone on my blogroll..who would like to participate!

BE SURE TO GO SEE ALL OF THE HAPPENINGS WITH ERA

JOKE…laugh…Men talk to Women…should we listen?…come see….

1. Never buy a ‘new’ brand of beer because ‘it was on sale.’
2. If we’re in the backyard and the TV in the den is on, that doesn’t mean we’re not watching it.
3. Don’t tell anyone we can’t afford a new car. Tell them we don’t want one.
4. Whenever possible please try to say whatever you have to say during commercials.
5. Only wearing your new lingerie once does not send the message that you need more. It tells us lingerie is a bad investment.
6. Please don’t drive when you’re not driving.
7. Don’t feel compelled to tell us how all the people in your stories are related to one another: We’re just nodding, waiting for the punchline.
8. The quarterback who just got pummeled isn’t trying to be brave. He’s just not crying. Big difference!
9. When the waiter asks if everything’s okay, a simple ‘Yes’ is fine.

Friends are born, not made.
* Henry Adams

Forsake not an old friend, for a new one does not compare with him.
* Apocrypha — Ecclesiasticus 9:10

My best friend is the man who in wishing me well wishes it for my sake.
* Aristotle

Friendship is a single soul dwelling in two bodies.
* Aristotle

This communicating of a man’s self to his friend works two contrary effects; for it redoubleth joys, and cutteth griefs in half.
* Francis Bacon

Friendship is a strong and habitual inclination in two persons to promote the good and happiness of one another.
* Eustace Budgell

Don’t believe your friends when they ask you to be honest with them. All they really want is to be maintained in the good opinion they have of themselves.
* Albert Camus

How can sincerity be a condition of friendship? A taste for truth at any cost is a passion which spares nothing.
* Albert Camus

Friendship often ends in love; but love in friendship–never.
* Charles Caleb Colton

What a wretched lot of old shrivelled creatures we shall be by-and-by. Never mind–the uglier we get in the eyes of others, the lovelier we shall be to each other; that has always been my firm faith about friendship.
* George Eliot

A friend may well be reckoned the masterpiece of nature.
* Ralph Waldo Emerson

It is one of the blessings of old friends that you can afford to be stupid with them.
* Ralph Waldo Emerson

The only way to have a friend is to be one.
* Ralph Waldo Emerson

Real friendship is shown in times of trouble;
prosperity is full of friends.
* Euripedes

It is in the thirties that we want friends. In the forties we know they won’t save us any more than love did.
* F. Scott Fitzgerald

No man can be happy without a friend, nor be sure of his friend till he is unhappy.
* Thomas Fuller

Your friend is the man who knows all about you, and still likes you.
* Elbert Hubbard

My father always used to say that when you die, if you’ve got five real friends, you’ve had a great life.
* Lee Iacocca

A true friend is the greatest of all blessings, and that which we take the least care of all to acquire.
* François Duc de La Rochefoucauld

However rare true love may be, it is less so than true friendship.
* François Duc de La Rochefoucauld

The most deadly fruit is borne by the hatred which one grafts on an extinguished friendship.
* Gotthold Ephraim Lessing

It’s no good trying to keep up old friendships. It’s painful for both sides. The fact is, one grows out of people, and the only thing is to face it.
* W. Somerset Maugham

We know our friends by their defects rather than by their merits.
* W. Somerset Maugham

If a man should importune me to give a reason why I loved him, I find it could no otherwise be expressed, than by making answer: because it was he, because it was I.
* Michel de Montaigne

Love demands infinitely less than friendship.
* George Jean Nathan

Women can form a friendship with a man very well; but to preserve it–to that end a slight physical antipathy must probably help.
* Friedrich Nietzsche

Hold a true friend with both your hands.
* Nigerian Proverb

To me, fair friend, you never can be old
For as you were when first your eye I eyed,
Such seems your beauty still.
* William Shakespeare

Friendship is constant in all other things
Save in the office and affairs of love.
* William Shakespeare

The proper office of a friend is to side with you when you are in the wrong. Nearly anybody will side with you when you are in the right.
* Mark Twain

Share laughter with your friends!

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

There isn’t a day that goes by that I don’t laugh with my friends. I think we have a life line to one another! When we each feel like we are just about to lose it, we quick call each other and start ragging on something till we LAUGH! It always works. We always manage to cheer each other up. We realize that the problem or situation is still there, but we are better able to handle it once we “get it off our chest!” I am SO lucky to have the friends I have. I treasure them each day. Are you lucky enough to have such friends? I hope so,

Who’s mad, me?????

People that know me usually see me happy and with a smile on my face, but if there happens to be a day when I do not really feel like smiling…LOOK OUT! I usually do not feel up to par because I did not get a good nights sleep. Lately, I have gotten a lot of nights where, if I get 3 hours sleep, that’s great! I usually can’t sleep because I am thinking about stuff! Sometimes though, it is because I had coffee too late! Whatever…..I just want people to know, I am NOT mad! I do start getting mad when people keep asking me , “Why are you so mad today?” I just want to scream! So, I guess what I am trying to say is…do not jump to conclusions about people when they are not acting ” normal.” It is probably not as big a deal as you might be making it! If someone is mad, they will come to you for support….When They Are Ready To Do So! Don’t be pushy. Just let them understand you are ready to listen.
