There is always love

No matter what you are dealt in life to deal with,

There is always love

No one will be able to convince me otherwise, so please do not even try

We are born into this world

There is love

We pursue what is given us to ration and with it the ability of making our own conclusions

Even when we feel defeated

There is love

Search your surroundings and determine where you feel you safe zone is, and develop different strategies

Have Faith

Have Hope

Have Love

Demented Mom

If you think that you will understand me one day soon, you will not.
If you think that you will find a magic pill that will cure me, you will not.
If you think that I am happy doing and saying what I am, I am not.
If you think I can understand your look of confusion now, I do not.
If you can just leave me alone to be in my own little new  world, I will be fine.
You are not welcomed.
You are not needed.
You are only there some of the time.
Most days, I just go along my merry way.
If I want to shout, I will.
If I want to try to get out of bed, I will.
If I want to spit out my food, I will.
If I do not want to take my medicine, it is my problem, not yours.
You can only do so much for those like me.
My body has already been invaded by the aliens that hate good mental health.
You can help by joining in the battle to fight this beast called dementia.
That would make me smile.

No matter what, just remember that I will always love you.

Thank you.

Your mother*

It’s a long story……..

Where have I been?
Well, my mom was in the hospital and then rehab. for the last 10 days.
She got to go home today.
She will have occupational and physical therapy at home.
She has been very weak.
Her pulse went down to 40!
During a procedure, she went into cardiac arrest.
They saved her.
She now has a pacemaker.
This should make her life a lot more comfortable.
I am happy she is home.

Cherish your health and well-being.

Thank you for your support.
I need to get back to me and my mess!
LOL

Will be by asap.

The other half of my life…a poem*

Just thinking about the years when I begin to grow older and wiser,

I am a bit happy and a bit sad.

Will I be one that does not remember my family?

Will I be one who has trouble with every day tasks?

Or, perhaos I will be one

who runs miles till the end

with a smile of happiness and joy

For the world is a place that does offer those options

We have only to seek them and succeed

with our thoughts.

So, I decided I will continue to conquer

on with this life and

take what is thrown my way.

What other choice do I really have?

Mom update….

Well, the good news is there was no indication of blocked arteries. The heart does indicate she had a mild heart attack in the past. We believe maybe in 1987 when my dad died. They are going to do an MRI to see what that might show us. Meanwhile, she is still recovering from her dislocated left arm! Hope to have mom back to work soon. That is where she wants to be! Thank you all for your kind words and support. The mystery continues. Hope you are having a great week so far. Tomorrow I go to a massage appointment one of my friends made a while back. Ya think I need one? lol
