Calabasas….The Commons*

I LOVE going to The Commons in Calabasas.  The Commons is a local shopping center that is designed to attract a lot of people who LOVE to spend money. lol You can watch a movie, go grocery shopping, pig out at your favorite food place, check at the books at Barnes & Noble, have coffee at Starbucks, and so much more! The Marmalade is one of my favorite places to meet friends for breakfast or lunch. I am not real big on dinner. Today I was hanging out with my friend Vivian when I decided to take some pictures near two of the little statues that are near the small pond there. I did not get to see the family of turtles today, so I will try to photo them next time. It is so much fun spending time with good friends. Thank you Vivian for taking such cool photos with your fancy phone. lol

Hope you are all having a good week. I will drop in asap. Until then, remember to smile and eat lots of dark chocolate. lol

MAN IN THE COFFEE BEANS*

This is bizarre – after you find the guy – it’s so obvious.

Once you find him – you think, why didn’t I see him immediately?

Doctors have concluded:
If you find the man in the coffee beans in 3 seconds, the right half of your brain is better developed than most people.
If you find the man between 3 seconds and 1 minute, the right half of the brain is developed normally.

If you find the man between 1 minute and 3 minutes, then the right half of your brain is functioning slowly and you need to eat more protein.

If you have not found the man after 3 minutes, the advice is to look for more of this type of exercise to Sharpen your mind.
Make that part of the brain stronger!!!

And, yes, the man is really there!

5 MINUTE CHOCOLATE MUG CAKE..too easy…too good!

I first posted this DELICIOUS RECIPE……on Tuesday, October 28, 2008. The recipe got a lot of hits! Everyone loved it! I thought it would be GREAT for the holidays! Let me know what you think after you make it!

5 Minute Chocolate Mug Cake
**********

4 tablespoons flour
4 tablespoons sugar
2 tablespoons cocoa
1 egg
3 tablespoons milk
3 tablespoons oil
3 tablespoons chocolate chips (optional)
a small splash of vanilla extract
1 large coffee mugAdd dry ingredients to mug, and mix well. Add the egg and mix thoroughly.
Pour in the milk and oil and mix well.
Add the chocolate chips (if using) and vanilla extract, and mix again.
Put your mug in the microwave and cook for 3 minutes at 1000 watts.
The cake will rise over the top of the mug, but don’t be alarmed!
Allow to cool a little, and tip out onto a plate if desired.
EAT! (this can serve 2 if you want to feel slightly more virtuous).

And why is this the most dangerous cake recipe in the world?
Because now we are all only 5 minutes away from chocolate cake at any time of the day or night!

Chocolate Pudding in a Mug
Serves 1

In the early days of microwave ovens, a recipe like this was always part of the demonstrations given by manufacturers’ home economists. It proved how fast and how much fun the microwave could be. It still does.
1 tablespoon cornstarch

2 tablespoons cocoa powder

2 tablespoons sugar

3/4 cup milk

1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract

1. In a large mug (at least 12 ounces), dissolve the cornstarch, cocoa, and sugar in the milk.

2. Microwave on high for 90 seconds, or until mixture boils.

3. Stir in the vanilla extract.

4. Chill in the refrigerator at least 1 hour.

Substitutions: Instead of cocoa, use 3 tablespoons chocolate bits. Stir them into the hot pudding with the vanilla. Instead of vanilla, use orange zest, grated or very finely julienned.

Idea from my friends. Let me know if any good! Will also try it.

You have KRISTI to thank for this one!

FRAPP-AHOLIC’s……………*

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

Hello, my name is Luisa Doraz…and YES, I am a
FRAPP-AHOLIC! I must admit that I live and dream for my daily frapp! I reward myself, rather nicely…I might add…with all kinds of frapp’s! I was trying the mocha ones, the double chocolate chip ones, the coffee vanilla ones, the java chip ones, and the vanilla bean ones! I must add that I ALWAYS added whipped cream and chocolate drizzle. That is until today! One of my friends, or should I say X-friends….showed me the calorie count that just happened to be available! I took a look, because I figured it could not be SO bad, right? BOY, WAS I WRONG! I will not even tell you all what I saw….it is TOO DEPRESSING! I made a choice today. After reading the differences between the LIGHT or the REGULAR, I figured I would TRY the light double chocolate chip…no whipped cream or chocolate drizzle. As I was trying it, I looked at myself in the mirror and decided….THESE ARE GREAT! I am going to stick with this game plan. A medium has 220 calories. I can work with burning that off at the gym! What a day! You?

Walmart Employee: ‘Hello ‘dis be Walmarts, how can I help you?’

Customer: ‘ I would like to order a cake for a going away party this week.’

Walmart Employee: ‘What you want on the cake?’

Customer: ‘Best Wishes Suzanne’ and underneath that ‘We will miss you’.
