“My wife caught a Peeping Tom last night, and she’d have killed him if we hadn’t stopped her,” said George.

“He must have made her very angry, peeking at her, huh?” replied his friend.

“No, that’s not what made her the maddest,” the husband chuckled.

“It’s not?” asked the friend.

“No, she got mad when he reached in the window and closed the curtains!”

Tranquility in Friendship……….*

I was fortunate enough to get to spend some time with one of my “best” friends today! I never laughed so much! I was in tears the whole time! The waitress kept asking us if every thing was OK! We told her it couldn’t have been better! We ordered one of our favorite dishes from the restaurant that we have even memorized the menu, we go there so much! The salmon nicoise salad and their fresh bread rolls are too good! I would have to say that this lunch meeting was all about “expressing ourselves!” We went on and on about stuff that has been bugging us and we just talked and talked about ridiculous things! Yes, we did complaining! Yes, we did roll our eyes a lot! Yes, we did say some “stuff” about people who have been bugging us! We did it all with a positive attitude and no malice. We, luckily both have a great sense of humor! I realized, once again what a powerful hold a friend has over you when it comes to “feeling better” about things and moving on…that is,until the next lunch! I would not trade my “best” friends for all of the money in the world! Well, honestly……….I WOULD have to think about that one!!

Just Thought I’d Ask You This Question……….2/18*

Once you became/become “Independent'” what was/is the first thing you did/ would want to do???

Excuse Me, I CAN hear…..!!!!!!

Everywhere I went today, it seemed like whoever talked to me thought I had a hearing problem! Could it be because I was wearing a BlueTooth on my ear? Or could it be because they have a hearing problem, so they think everyone else does? Or could it be because they just like to talk LOUD when they are speaking to anyone! Have you ran into these people? (Ooops, hope you are not one of them..sorry!) I was just minding my own business today at the grocery store, when this person next to me commented on the weather. They were basically shouting out the wind factor, the temperture, and what the forecast would be for tomorrow! They were so loud, that someone in the other aisle shouted back, “Thank You!” I kid you not! I just looked at them and smiled. I then thanked them for the information. Then I grabbed a box of cookies I did not even want, and got the hell out of there! I had a headache! Sorry~~~~~~I was not in the mood to strike up a conversation with this person! Was I mean, or what?

Something I Picked Up……………..*

When I have the time, I like to visit other blogs, randomly, and see what I can see. Some fellow bloggers out there really like to express themselves and write and write a lot. Others are just having a thought, and want to express that thought on their blog. I find it interesting to see the moods of people change when I read their posts. I can usually pick up when someone is happy or if someone is sad. I can usually sense disappointment and frustration in people’s perspective of their life in this world. I am glad to be able to understand how others are coping with their daily situations. On a lot of days, I pick up some very interesting and worth will points on things that apply to what is happening in my life at the same time. I guess when you think about it, all of us are the same…we just do things different times in our lives! I appreciate the honesty and willingness of others to share personal thoughts. I just wanted to tell you it does not go unnoticed. People do read what you write. So, keep blogging! Have fun! Stay as sane as humanly possible!

Is Mussolini Right on this One????……

My family said I should do something on an Italian guy , since I am Italian! So, here goes:

“Inactivity is death.”
Benito Mussolini

Actually, the guy has a point. I would have to agree with it! I am sure he is thinking along the lines of war games, where I am referring to everyday life! He was figuring if his guys just stood around and did not plan their next attack, they would be dead! I am thinking more along the lines of not being motivated to do much in life, so in part…I believe, you are kind of dead. I also am thinking along health issues. If you need to exercise and stay fit to live, or else you may have more health risks, I agree…inactivity could lead to death. Another way I look at this quote is in the area of our brain. If we do not keep it stimulated and fed, it will eventually begin to die off. So, I guess in a weird way…Mussolini makes sense! You are kind of dead to things physically, mentally, and spiritually if you do not make the effort in life. So, OK Mussolini…in a weird way, I agree with you!

Today’s Debate………..2/7*

Taking a person for granted is what life is all about. They should be happy to help me out.

Well, I have a grip! All of you who work in the customer service field, I hope you know what that means! Some of you who have decided to go into that profession, need to take Customer Service 101 class! You guys do not even know the basics! How did you ever get hired? What I mean is this. If you work for a department store and are assigned a certain area of that store to cover, that means you LEARN what items are in that area when you are just standing around, so when I come up to you later on that night and ask you where the “socks” are….you can show me! Do not look at me and say, “Uh. I don’t know. I think over there.! Then you proceed to walk in the other direction! That my friends, is not good customer service! The way I figure it, I am not to blame that you are working at a job you are not too thrilled with, you are! If you do not like it….get another job….but NOT in customer service!

(1) Fine: This is the word women use to end an argument when they are right and you need to shut up.

(2) Five Minutes: If she is getting dressed, this means a half an hour. Five minutes is only five minutes if you have just been given five more minutes to watch the game before

helping around the house.

(3) Nothing: This is the calm before the storm. This means something, and you should be on your toes. Arguments that begin with nothing usually end in fine.

(4) Go Ahead: This is a dare, not permission. Don’t Do It!

(5) Loud Sigh: This is actually a word, but is a non-verbal statement often misunderstood by men. A loud sigh means she thinks you are an idiot and wonders why she is wasting

her time standing here and arguing with you about nothing. (Refer back to # 3 for the meaning of nothing.)

(6) That’s Okay: This is one of the most dangerous statements a women can make to a man. That’s okay means she wants to think long and hard before deciding how and when

you will pay for your mistake.

(7) Thanks: A woman is thanking you, do not question, or faint. Just say you’re welcome. (I want to add in a clause here – This is true, unless she says ‘Thanks a lot’ – that is PURE

sarcasm and she is not thanking you at all. DO NOT say ‘you’re welcome’ . that will bring on a ‘whatever’).

(8) Whatever: Is a woman’s way of saying F– YOU!

(9) Don’t worry about it, I got it: Another dangerous statement, meaning this is something that a woman has told a man to do several times, but is now doing it herself.

This will later result in a man asking ‘What’s wrong?’ For the woman’s response refer to # 3.

* Send this to the men you know, to warn them about arguments they can avoid if they remember the terminology.

* Send this to all the women you know to give them a good laugh, cause they know it’s true!!!
