I CAN HEAR JUST FINE!**

Three retirees, each with a hearing loss, were playing golf
one fine March day. One remarked to the Other, ‘Windy,
isn’t it?’ ‘No,’ the second man replied,
‘it’s Thursday.’ And the third man chimed in,
‘So am I, Let’s have a beer.’

OLD DOGS….a story*

To my fellow “Old Dogs”

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

One day the Old German Shepherd starts chasing rabbits and before long, discovers that he’s lost. Wandering about, he notices a leopard heading rapidly in his direction with the intention of having lunch.

The Old German Shepherd thinks, ‘Oh, oh! I’m in deep doo-doo now!’ Noticing some bones on the ground close by, he immediately settles down to chew on the bones with his back to the approaching cat. Just as the leopard is about to leap, the old German Shepherd exclaims loudly, ‘Boy, that was one delicious leopard! I wonder if there are any more around here?’

Hearing this, the young leopard halts his attack in mid-strike, a look of terror comes over him and he slinks away into the trees.

‘Whew!’ says the leopard. ‘That was close! That old German Shepherd nearly had me!’

Meanwhile, a monkey who had been watching the whole scene from a nearby tree, figures he can put this knowledge to good use and trade it for protection from the leopard. So, off he goes, but the old German Shepherd sees him heading after the leopard with great speed, and figures that something must be up.

The monkey soon catches up with the leopard, spills the beans and strikes a deal for himself with the leopard.

The young leopard is furious at being made a fool of and says, ‘Here, monkey, hop on my back and see what’s going to happen to that conniving canine!’

Now, the old German Shepherd sees the leopard coming with the monkey on his back and thinks, ‘What am I going to do now?’, but instead of running, the dog sits down with his back to his attackers, pretending he hasn’t seen them yet, and just when they get close enough to hear, the old German Shepherd says…

‘Where’s that monkey? I sent him off an hour ago to bring me another leopard!’

Moral of this story…

Don’t mess with the old dogs…age and skill will always overcome youth and treachery! Bull and brilliance only come with age and experience.

Thanks much…Kristi!

Patience and Wisdom………cute…*)*

For those who haven’t seen this before – it is so true!

Two of the greatest assets to have in life are patience and wisdom.

An Inspiation for Pet Lover’s, Everywhere!……….*)*

This is a story about a dog who was born on Christmas Eve in 2002.
He was born with 3 legs – 2 healthy hind legs and 1 abnormal front leg which needed to be amputated.
He of course could not walk when he was born. Even his mother did not want him.

He was rejected and scorned.

His first owner also did not think he could survive. Therefore, he was thinking of putting him to sleep.
At that time, his present owner, Jude Stringfellow, came into his life and wanted to take care of him.
She was determined to teach and train this dog to walk by himself. She thought, all we need is a little faith.

Therefore, she named him ‘Faith.’

In the beginning, she put Faith on a surf board to let him feel the movements of the water.

Later she used peanut butter on a spoon as a lure and to reward him for standing up and jumping around.
Even the other dogs at home helped to encourage him to walk.
Amazingly, after only 6 months, like a miracle, Faith learned to balance on his 2 hind legs and
jumped to move forward.

After further training in the snow, he can now walk like a human being.

Faith loves to walk around now.

No matter where he goes, he attracts all the people around him.
He’s now becoming famous on the international scene. He has appeared in various newspapers and TV shows.

There is a book entitled ‘With a little faith’ being published about him.

He was even considered to appear in one of Harry Potter movies.

His present owner, Jude Stringfellow, has given up her teaching job and plans to take him
around the world to show
‘that even without a perfect body one can have a perfect soul.’

In life there are always undesirable things.

Perhaps a person who feels things are not going as well as they could will feel better if they change their point of view

and see things from another perspective.

Perhaps this message will bring fresh new ways of thinking to everyone.

Perhaps everyone can appreciate and

be thankful for each beautiful day that follows.

Life is the continual demonstration of the power of thinking positive and having faith.

Believe in yourself.

Never lose faith.

Thanks Pam!
