Inspire me to be……..

Relax.

Take a deep breath.

Close those eyes.

Think about a warm place.

Imagine you are there.

Inhale the surroundings.

Feel the pressure on your shoulders fly away.

Flying?

A good idea.

Imagine you are free to roam the world.

Seek those places where there is laughter.

Feel the love.

Become aware of the smile on your face.

Life is beautiful.

Life is powerful.

Life is worth the sacrifices.

Live life.

Fly home.

There you will find peace.

Pray.

Keep the faith.

The wedding was a success!

100_3903

I am happy to report that everything went well with my friends wedding. Everyone was happy and smiling! The weather in Palm Springs was 119 degrees! I thought I would faint. I do not know how people can live comfortably in such weather. After a while, you kind of get to where it really does not bother you. Needless to say, I drank a lot of water. The country club did a fantastic job with the catering. The music was getting me to dance and be silly! I was very happy for my friend Pam. I have known her since high school. Her husband Anthony was very nice. It was the first time meeting him. 🙂

Marriage takes a commitment. It takes humor. It takes caring and trust. You should NEVER take your spouse for granted. I wish Pam and Anthony all the best!

Oh, my dress worked out perfectly. The challenge was the wind. My dress was flying all over the place!

Have a great week.

A Day in Ventura at the beach……..

<

Like my new shades? Looking good or should I trade them in? lol I had a relaxing day at the beach in Ventura. I walked up and down Main Street. Lots of shops ranging from thrift stores, antiques, and crazy gadgets. There sure were a lot of surfers out! I love watching them hit the waves. I got to eat at a delicious Irish Pub. The atmosphere was very friendly and inviting.I also took a look at the Ventura Mission. There you can find some samples of the way of life back in the day. I loved it!I have a feeling I will be spending a lot of time in Ventura this summer. I also love going to their RV parks. I guess I had better get in shape! I have starting walking every day now for a minimum of 20-30 minutes. I also do some yoga and light weights. I do not belong to a gym. I find it more relaxing to do it in the comfort of my home. Hope you are all planning on having a nice week. I need you all to send some prayers out to my mom. She is having a heart angiogram on Tuesday. Thank you for your support.

Make this week the week………

Make this week the week
You get all of those things done
That have been bothering you for days
Or maybe even months!

Just start with a nice calm smile
A cup of your favorite coffee or tea
Think of the action you will take
Then go ahead and conquer!

Let the celebrations begin……Happy Thanksgiving*

It is that wonderful time of the year again. The time I reflect and think about all of the things I am grateful for in this life. I tend to have these moments all year long, but it seems like they mean more at Thanksgiving. I am one of those people that like to go around the dinner table and have everyone share with each other. My family and friends expect these moments, new guests to my home just give me that look. lol I just ask everyone to share one event in their life in 2012 that really made them grateful to be who they may be. I treasure each day I am given, so I would hope others could say the same.

This year my COURAGE to keep moving ahead was tested often. I have had some MINOR health issues that I let get to me this year. Usually I just ignore them. I have had my mom undergoing various little medical treatments that made me think too much about her aging. We all age, right? I have been blessed with my son who moved to Texas moving back home. I needed the courage to get him home safe. He is now already working at another job and is doing well.I have had to balance negative feelings with more positive feelings when I was in the position of helping some friends or family members in a crisis situation. I wanted to remain strong so I could help them succeed. If you look up my name and its definition….it does seem to fit.

Luisa

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Luisa is a female name of German origin  which means “glorious warrior”.

So, I hope all of you reading this post have something to be grateful for. May you all enjoy Thanksgiving with your family and friends with many smiles. May you have many cherished memories. I want to leave you all with this beautiful passage I found.

The Giver of Gifts

May the Giver of Gifts give unto you

that which is good and that which is true:

The will to help and the courage to do:

A heart that can sing the whole day through

Whether the skies be gray or blue-

May the Giver of Gifts give these to you.

Wisdom from Maxine*

As we progress into 2013, I want to thank you all for your educational e-mails over the past year.

I am totally screwed up now and have little chance of recovery.

I can no longer open a bathroom door without using a paper towel,

nor let the waitress put lemon slices in my ice water without worrying

about the bacteria on the lemon peel.

I can’t sit down on a hotel bedspread because I can only imagine

what has happened on it since it was last washed.

I have trouble shaking hands with someone who has been driving

because the number one pastime while driving alone is picking one’s nose.

Eating a little snack sends me on a guilt trip because I can only

imagine how many gallons of trans fats I have consumed over the years.

I can’t touch any woman’s handbag for fear she has placed it on

the floor of a public toilet.

I must send my special thanks for the email about rat poo

in the glue on envelopes because I now have to use a wet sponge with

every envelope that needs sealing.

ALSO, now I have to scrub the top of every can I open for the same reason.

I can’t have a drink in a bar because I fear I’ll wake up in a bathtub

full of ice with my kidneys gone.

I can’t eat at KFC because their chickens are actually horrible mutant

freaks with no eyes, feet or feathers.

I can’t use cancer-causing deodorants even though I smell like a

water buffalo on a hot day.

Thanks to you I have learned that my prayers only get answered

if I forward an e-mail to seven of my friends and make a wish within five minutes.

Because of your concern , I no longer drink Coca Cola because

it can remove toilet stains.

I no longer buy fuel without taking someone along to watch the car,

so a serial killer doesn’t crawl in my back seat when I’m filling up.

I no longer use Cling Wrap in the microwave because it causes

seven different types of cancer.

And thanks for letting me know I can’t boil a cup of water

in the microwave anymore because it will blow up in my face, disfiguring

me for life.

I no longer go to the cinema because I could be pricked with a

needle infected with AIDS when I sit down.

I no longer go to shopping centers because someone will drug

me with a perfume sample and rob me..

And I no longer answer the phone because someone will ask

me to dial a number for which I will get a huge phone bill with calls to

Jamaica , Uganda , Singapore and Uzbekistan ..

Thanks to you I can’t use anyone’s toilet but mine because a

big black snake could be lurking under the seat and cause me instant

death when it bites my butt.

And thanks to your great advice I can’t ever pick up a

dime coin dropped in the car park because it was probably placed

there by a sex molester waiting to grab me as I bend over.

I can’t do any gardening because I’m afraid I’ll get bitten by the

Violin Spider and my hand will fall off.

If you don’t send this e-mail to at least 144,000 people in

the next 70 minutes, a large dove with diarrhea will land

on your head at 5:00 p.m. tomorrow afternoon, and the

fleas from 120 camels will infest your back, causing you

to grow a hairy hump. I know this will occur because it

actually happened to a friend of my next door neighbors

ex mother-in-law’s second husband’s cousin’s best friend’s

beautician!

Oh, and by the way…

A German scientist from Argentina , after a lengthy study,

has discovered that people with insufficient brain activity

read their e-mails with their hand on the mouse

Don’t bother taking it off now, it’s too late.

P. S. I now keep my toothbrush in the living room, because

I was told by e-mail that water splashes over 6 ft. out of the toilet..

Have fun. Live. Laugh. Love.

Smile often,

Luisa Doraz

Memories in the sun*

How did I ever miss it?

How could it be ignored?

Loud and inviting at the same time.

Offering many silly or quiet moments.

Take a look.

Embrace the madness.

Sometimes angry and making a point.

Other times timid and wanting your challenges.

The beach is all around you, if you live near by.

Do you take it for granted each day you drive by it?

Do you just assume that it will always be there for you?

Why not take some time to introduce yourself.

You will be amazed at all the smiles.

You will welcome the waves.

You will feel the coldness of the ocean on you.

What fun.

What a miracle.

It all awaits you.

Why do you hesitate?

Beautiful pollination VIDEO for your viewing pleasure

I have to say that this video is well worth watching. I can understand why it had 13,207,512 HITS. It is just BEAUTIFUL. I have to confess that it actually made me cry. I was so touched. All of the little creatures of this world are so lost and alone. Maybe you can take some time to stop and look at them. Children will be totally stunned. This video should make you appreciate the wonders of nature and understand you should not take them for granted.

Thank you Lviss for referring me to this video. You are the best!

SMILE at the magic of your world.

Let the Sunshine In……

I recently read an article in the July/August 2008 Weight Watchers magazine. I agreed with a lot of the statements they made. I would like to share some with you. In a recent New York University study, a fellow at the nonprofit Environmental Leadership Program by the name of Patricia Zaradic, Ph.D. said, “ Nature acts as a buffer against life’s stressful events.” I agree 100%.
The article goes on to say that just by working in your garden for 45 minutes , you can lower your blood pressure and heart rate. Nature relaxes you and helps you breathe more calmly and slowly. It also goes on to say that your brain produces serotonin which helps in boosting your mood.
It mentions that you can help guard against osteoporosis by getting 5 to 30 minutes of vitamin D-rich sunlight as least twice a week. They claim that by exercising outdoors, you will feel less bored and be more likely to stick with your program goals.
So, the next time you get up in the morning and see that sun shining into your bedroom window, get yourself out of bed, smile, and take on whatever the day throws at you with a little more sunshine and a lot less stress!

Be sure to go to Healthtips 101 to see what Jennifer added to this article, it’s cool!!!!
