Believe*

There comes a point and time in our lives where we are not really sure exactly what the hell we believe in. I hope that you have all found a place in your life where you can say you have achieved some type of peace with things. We all need to find that balance in our lives where we can actually not get annoyed when we look at ourselves in the mirror. I can honestly say that I have reached that blessing in my life. I have fought hard and strong. I have stayed focused. I have stayed true. I have not injured anyone along the way. I can say that I am at peace and can accept any challenge., Can you?

Look Good…Feel Great…….

When I looked in the mirror and did not smile, I knew it was time to do something. When I was unable to sleep because of all kinds of scenarios playing out in my head, I knew it was time to do something. When I read about AVA MD, I knew I had found my solution! I made an appointment, kept it, and am now rejuvenated! I had a one hour facial with TONYA. She knows what she is doing! I was able to relax, get my facial, listen to wonderful music, clear my head, and enjoy the treatment. I HIGHLY recommend TONYA! If you live in CA, it will be well worth your trip and time. AVA MD met with me after my facial. She was very caring and nurturing to my needs. She made me feel very comfortable and helped me to smile again about life. Your mental health is equal to you physical health, so I decided to take care of myself. I am glad I did. AVA MD is the best. I hope some of you who visit will take a look and see how she can help you smile. Hope you all stay happy and healthy. I am going to do my best to get back to blogging real soon.

A Few Laughs…..

1. Don’t think of yourself as an ugly person, just a beautiful monkey 😛

2. Tips to reduce weight: First turn your head to the right, and then turn it to the left. Repeat the exercise every time you are offered something to eat.

3. At the end of the day, one thing we have in common is that we are all screwed up in some way.

4. I found a lipstick that helps you lose weight…..it’s called super glue.

5. The awkward moment when a GPS tells a gay person to go straight :)6. TEACHER: Donald, what is the chemical formula for water? DONALD: H I J K L M N O. TEACHER: What are you talking about? DONALD: Yesterday you said it’s H to O!

7. Two roommates were watching the news. News: Serial killer on the loose. Blonde: Oh no! (runs to kitchen) Brunette: What are you doing? Blonde: Saving my cereal!

8. Wife standing in front of a mirror and telling to her husband, “I am fat, old, wrinkled and no longer pretty. Will you still give me a romantic compliment?” Husband replied, “Your eyesight is still excellent.”

9. One student fell into a cycle of classes, studying, working and sleeping. Didn’t realize how long he had neglected writing home until he received the following note: “Dear Son, Your mother and I enjoyed your last letter. Of course, we were much younger then, and more impressionable. Love, Dad.”

10. What is meant by Mixed Emotions? Your enemy falls from 17th floor on your brand new Audi and you don’t know whether to laugh or cry!

Hope you had a few laughs.

Have a fun day.

Welcome to American Girl Place Los Angeles……The Grove

Located in The Grove, one of California’s premier shopping destinations, our Los Angeles store features girls’ favorite shops, private dining, and so much more.”

Well, I went here this weekend. Let me tell you, it IS the place to be if you have girls. I had never been to this store before. I was quite shocked. It was a bit disturbing for me. The place is loaded with dolls. They all have names. They all have a book that comes with them and tells you all about them. They come from all walks of life. They all have different outfits to compliment their era. They are loaded down with all kinds of furniture for THEM. Their items cost more than those I would use!!! They have bath tubs, strollers, desks, horses, guitars, bedroom sets, tea sets, kitchen appliances, makeup centers, you name it…they carry it. I wish I were the owner of this store!!! How do they make the money to cover the rent? We figure it cost them about $150,000 a month for the rent!!! I can only imagine the profit this place makes. The dolls cost about $5.00 to make, but they sell them for over $100.00 each.!! My friends daughter has 5. All of her school mates have about the same, or more! Wow, crazy huh?

We had a very nice dinner there. They gave each table a birthday cake and extra treats for the birthday girl. It cost my friend $35.00 each for the kids and $24.00 each for the adults. I think my friend spent quite a bit this year for her daughter’s birthday! We all had fun. We all got to spend time together. My friend is not ever going to do this again, so once is fine. We had a lot of smiles from the girls. That made it all worth it.

Afterwards we walked around The Grove. It is a real happening place. Lots of places to eat. Lots of activity in the streets. Lots of great shopping. Lots of coffee places. They are also near the Farmer’s Market. I was exhausted when I got home, but I was very glad I went. It was very nice of my friend to include us in the celebration.

If you are ever in LA, be sure to visit The Grove.

A SMART BIRD VIDEO*….too cute to not share

“GIVING THE BIRD”….STORY*

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

I never knew this before, and now that I know it, I feel compelled to send it on to my more intelligent friends in the hope that they, too, will feel edified. Isn’t history more fun when you know something about it?
Before the Battle of Agincourt in 1415, the French, anticipating victory over the English, proposed to cut off the middle finger of all captured English soldiers. Without the middle finger it would be impossible to draw the renowned English longbow and therefore they would be incapable of fighting in the future. This famous English longbow was made of the native English Yew tree, and the act of drawing the longbow was known as ‘plucking the yew’ (or ‘pluck yew’).
Much to the bewilderment of the French, the English won a major upset and began mocking the French by waving their middle fingers at the defeated French, saying, See, we can still pluck yew! Since ‘pluck yew’ is rather difficult to say, the difficult consonant cluster at the beginning has gradually changed to a labiodentals fricative F’, and thus the words often used in conjunction with the one-finger-salute! It is also because of the pheasant feathers on the arrows used with the longbow that the symbolic gesture is known as ‘giving the bird.’
And yew thought yew knew every plucking thing

Get Rid of that Attitude……it’s UGLY!!!!!

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

So many people are so into themselves, it is not even funny! While I was out today, I ran into them EVERYWHERE!!! I mean, it is fine to be self confident…but, when you are in love with yourself, for the wrong reasons…come on! I have no problem with people who are confident and secure with who they are…I am one of them! I do have a problem with someone who abuses other people, emotionally because they THINK they are “secure with their persona,” but they are obviously not! It is a dead give away that you are not ,when you find it necessary to treat others with no respect or dignity! So, my point is…if you want to sit on your high horse…fine, but stay away from me, cause I will let you have some attitude! Don.t let me catch you putting anyone else down, either!
