Attack of the Tight Jeans……….*)*

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

Stop laughing! Not nice! You are suppose to feel sorry for me! ALL my jeans are officially tight. I wish I had not thrown away those “fat” jeans! I figure I will use psychology on myself and it did not work! How I managed to gain those FEW extra pounds to not allow my jeans to fit, I do not know! That’s a lie! I do know! Stop laughing-)* Really, why would just a “few” pounds make all the difference? Could it be because they all targeted my butt and stomach???? I go to the gym. I “try” to eat the right foods. I drink lots of water. I do not get enough sleep. They say that people who sleep the required hours are better with weight! I know, you are thinking AGE! Well, it is NOT that! No, I am NOT in denial…just a few pounds too fat! So, I decided to use another hair brain idea! I am going to , every day, no matter what, wear a pair of jeans. That way when I go to eat that cookie, or go to have an ice cream..I will think twice. Right? Clever idea, huh? WRONG! I have learned to get past that problem and continue with my journey to food I desire….I just unbutton my pants! YES!_)*

LOVE FROM A DAD*………….a poem*

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

You will always be my little girl
Don’t you ever forget that is the case
I will keep you safe and watch over you
Even after I have passed from this place

You take time to see what is around you
Learn all there is to learn with zest
Always maintain your dignity and patience
Even when you are put to the toughest test

People have knowledge to share
Listen and care to understand
Do not be too quick to think
They would not be willing to lend a helping hand

Laugh, smile, live and enjoy
Do not be too serious with your woes and cares
For they too will be sure to pass
Have faith, hope, and love…for many, many years

I was proud of you since the day you were born
I was impressed with everything you learned to do
Don’t ever forget where you came from
Don’t ever forget I will always love you

In Appreciation of MOMS*….Past, Present, and Future….

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

First, I want to start off by saying that I also feel DADS should be appreciated, so I promise to write a story for you Dads, too! Today, though…It’s all about being a MOM! I feel that every day should be Mother’s Day, cause Moms make every day…Your Day! Just think for a moment. Isn’t your Mom always there if you need her, last minute? My Mom is! One night, not too long ago, I was not feeling so hot, so my mom came over with some minestrone soup! It was even homemade! I think what helped me get better, so quickly was the fact that someone on this planet actually cared about me! They put their own needs aside and made my needs their priority. Now, that’s what a Mom is suppose to do! I am sure that those of you out there that have had the misfortune of losing your Mom, never knowing your Mom, or having a bad relationship with your Mom, would take my Mom any day! I wish I could share her, so you could also feel the love and nurturing that we all need. A true Mom loves unconditionally! My Mom never sets limitations on her love! It comes freely and naturally! For those of you who are expecting your first baby…Congratulations! Cherish all the moments you have with your children….good or bad! The fact is…at least you have the honor of being allowed that moment. Do not ever take those moments for granted! So, I sent all you MOMS out there a rose, in honor of your love for your family! If you feel you need to work on some of your relationships, all you need is time and patience! It will happen!

Tranquility in Friendship……….*

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

I was fortunate enough to get to spend some time with one of my “best” friends today! I never laughed so much! I was in tears the whole time! The waitress kept asking us if every thing was OK! We told her it couldn’t have been better! We ordered one of our favorite dishes from the restaurant that we have even memorized the menu, we go there so much! The salmon nicoise salad and their fresh bread rolls are too good! I would have to say that this lunch meeting was all about “expressing ourselves!” We went on and on about stuff that has been bugging us and we just talked and talked about ridiculous things! Yes, we did complaining! Yes, we did roll our eyes a lot! Yes, we did say some “stuff” about people who have been bugging us! We did it all with a positive attitude and no malice. We, luckily both have a great sense of humor! I realized, once again what a powerful hold a friend has over you when it comes to “feeling better” about things and moving on…that is,until the next lunch! I would not trade my “best” friends for all of the money in the world! Well, honestly……….I WOULD have to think about that one!!

Just Thought I’d Ask You This Question……….2/18*

Once you became/become “Independent'” what was/is the first thing you did/ would want to do???

Just Because……….*

I was just sitting here thinking about some things. I know, you saying, “Oh No!” Really, they are nice things I am reflecting on that have to do with part of my personality. No, its not the “crazy” part! No, I am not having one of those “hot” moments! I am talking about the part of me that LOVES to do “little” things for people, just because! I am not talking about going to help a friend move because they asked me if I could. I am not talking about my neighbor asking if she could hitch a ride to the grocery store when I am going there already. Those are things that people have “asked” of me. Those I would happily do any day! What I am talking about is when “I” decide to do something just because I “feel” like doing it. Some examples are: Bringing my friend a dark chocolate candy bar because she is screaming over the noise in her house…and chocolate has been proven to quiet her in the past……Or, bringing my mom 1 red rose to brighten her day because she is feeling depressed over the fact that she can’t lose those extra pounds…I wouldn’t dare bring her chocolate when she’s feeling like this, she’d throw it at me! Or, bringing a cup of coffee to my neighbor because her coffee machine just broke…you know how it goes when you don’t get that coffee in the A.M! You know, just “little” things like this that people are not expecting. It is the element of “surprise” on their faces that I really love! So, why not give it a try. Just stick to the simple things in life you can do to brighten someone’s day. Of course, if you can afford it…….”Diamonds are a girl’s best friend!”

The Heat is On……….NO!*

Do not even try asking me how old I am! What does that have to do with it? When you’re hot, you’re hot! And when you’re not, you’re not! Simple as that! People are always asking me how I feel because it could be 100% outside, and I am wearing a sweatshirt. So, what is the big deal about that? Maybe I want to get some use out of them all the time, instead of just in the colder climates! So, let me be. If I am not hot, who else should it matter? Now, other times when it is really cold out, I am running around in shorts and a tee shirt. So, what is the big deal about that? If I am hot, I am hot and I will dress like I am hot! Right? I know, you want to ask me how old I am!!! I won’t tell you! It does not matter! It is going to be real interesting to see what you all have to say about all of this! Be sure you grab that blanket or snugglie, while you’re at it! I am looking for that fan! Where the he*l did I put it? Stop laughing now!

How often do you experience “road rage?”

Do You Honestly Care What They Think….I Don’t!

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

OK, don’t get all worked up here! I am not talking about someone who goes out of their way to be “nasty!” I do not mean that person who is always telling you that you look tired and asks you if you gained weight, or something! I am not even talking about your boss, who you are trying to impress…well, wait a second….maybe I am talking about that boss of yours! Who do they think they are anyway? What gives them the right to be “nasty” and rude? I mean, just because you are the boss…it does not mean your sh*t don’t stink! Right? I know that is a crude way of looking at it, but am I right? Simple life comparison is doable in my book! I mean, I will always be respectful of their title, but they need to earn my respect with their actions. They do not get that automatically. I know, you think I get fired a lot, don’t you? Well, I don’t. I have my integrity intact and I earn respect from others, just like I think everyone should be doing. So, do I really care when someone makes an “ugly” comment to me? No, because I consider the source! Do I care if someone very important to me makes a “nasty” comment? Well, that is a different story. I would allow them more leeway! So, I guess what I am trying to say is…in my opinion…do not get all stressed out over words and rude actions, be smart and consider the source!

Would you want to go to a party with someone who invited you, but set “limits” on your behavior there?
