It’s a No-Brainer……VOTE

Urban Dictionary: no-brainer
Something so obvious to be correct/appropriate, that it requires no contemplation to decide on.

I could not look at myself in a mirror knowing that I did not win something FAIR and SQUARE! If I was told by those working for me that things were done illegally so I would have a better chance to win, I would decline. If I promised to the people that I was going to change something for the better, I would die trying! I believe in standing by my word, my honor! I would not be able to look at those innocent individuals looking at me right in my eyes and just keep talking away INSTEAD of implementing ACTION to assist them in their lives. I would not say anything if I was not POSITIVE 100% that I would show the American people what I was doing. LYING is NEVER going to be a part of me. Saying things from my heart and with emotional attachments will be me! I may sound different than most, but I will not just SAY it, I will DO it! Anyone who gets TOO comfortable with their position in their workplace often gets a bit stale. Those new to the position always shine a new light on matters. In my opinion, it is a no-brainer who to vote for. You are who you are, so please vote as you see fit. Thanks for letting me get my opinion out there.

What the HE** just happened?

I guess this is a message to who ever is out there listening and reading about what is going on these days in this world of ours. It seems like we, the general public, are always allowing some of our strings to be moved if we consider we are just some kind of puppet in this society of ours. We seem to fall into the trap of just surrendering and just agreeing with what ever every one else is saying. Well, that bothers me. I was raised by 2 Italian parents who immigrated here, became citizens, and kept their Italian culture alive in their home and also kept the rules of the USA in their heads, and ours! My dad was always telling us to be proud to be AMERICANS, but do not forget where your parents were born. I listened. I went to college, working 2 jobs and paying for it MYSELF. I got a BA degree and then immediately starting working 2 jobs. I eventually got married and had 2 children. They both went to college and are also working 2 jobs. So, I feel very blessed. Our hard work and our prayers do count. You just have to keep focused on YOUR goals, not the other guys! YOU COUNT!

A MEMORIAL DAY THANK YOU*

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

I can only imagine how you felt…
On those nights when the horror around you was crushing.
Your soul and your determination at battle with one another.

Your courage and your beliefs were your only comfort…
One you did not really want to share…
But one that was necessary for survival.

I want to thank you for those moments.
I want to honor you with all of my deepest respects.

May you know that I DO appreciate you and what you have done to make my life possible today.

Sincerely,

Luisa Doraz

Just Thought I’d Ask You This Question….5/8*

To all the people in relationships:

If a STRANGER had a million dollars in a briefcase that they showed you and told you it was yours if you had sex with him/her…..on the spot…..what would you do? Oh, you could not tell your significant other about it!

To all the people not in a relationship:

If a STRANGER who did not “look” like someone you would want to marry…told you if you married them…right then…you would get the million dollars…what would you do? Oh, it would have to be till death do you part!

Cherish your friends everyday!

Friends are born, not made.
* Henry Adams

Forsake not an old friend, for a new one does not compare with him.
* Apocrypha — Ecclesiasticus 9:10

My best friend is the man who in wishing me well wishes it for my sake.
* Aristotle

Friendship is a single soul dwelling in two bodies.
* Aristotle

This communicating of a man’s self to his friend works two contrary effects; for it redoubleth joys, and cutteth griefs in half.
* Francis Bacon

Friendship is a strong and habitual inclination in two persons to promote the good and happiness of one another.
* Eustace Budgell

Don’t believe your friends when they ask you to be honest with them. All they really want is to be maintained in the good opinion they have of themselves.
* Albert Camus

How can sincerity be a condition of friendship? A taste for truth at any cost is a passion which spares nothing.
* Albert Camus

Friendship often ends in love; but love in friendship–never.
* Charles Caleb Colton

What a wretched lot of old shrivelled creatures we shall be by-and-by. Never mind–the uglier we get in the eyes of others, the lovelier we shall be to each other; that has always been my firm faith about friendship.
* George Eliot

A friend may well be reckoned the masterpiece of nature.
* Ralph Waldo Emerson

It is one of the blessings of old friends that you can afford to be stupid with them.
* Ralph Waldo Emerson

The only way to have a friend is to be one.
* Ralph Waldo Emerson

Real friendship is shown in times of trouble;
prosperity is full of friends.
* Euripedes

It is in the thirties that we want friends. In the forties we know they won’t save us any more than love did.
* F. Scott Fitzgerald

No man can be happy without a friend, nor be sure of his friend till he is unhappy.
* Thomas Fuller

Your friend is the man who knows all about you, and still likes you.
* Elbert Hubbard

My father always used to say that when you die, if you’ve got five real friends, you’ve had a great life.
* Lee Iacocca

A true friend is the greatest of all blessings, and that which we take the least care of all to acquire.
* François Duc de La Rochefoucauld

However rare true love may be, it is less so than true friendship.
* François Duc de La Rochefoucauld

The most deadly fruit is borne by the hatred which one grafts on an extinguished friendship.
* Gotthold Ephraim Lessing

It’s no good trying to keep up old friendships. It’s painful for both sides. The fact is, one grows out of people, and the only thing is to face it.
* W. Somerset Maugham

We know our friends by their defects rather than by their merits.
* W. Somerset Maugham

If a man should importune me to give a reason why I loved him, I find it could no otherwise be expressed, than by making answer: because it was he, because it was I.
* Michel de Montaigne

Love demands infinitely less than friendship.
* George Jean Nathan

Women can form a friendship with a man very well; but to preserve it–to that end a slight physical antipathy must probably help.
* Friedrich Nietzsche

Hold a true friend with both your hands.
* Nigerian Proverb

To me, fair friend, you never can be old
For as you were when first your eye I eyed,
Such seems your beauty still.
* William Shakespeare

Friendship is constant in all other things
Save in the office and affairs of love.
* William Shakespeare

The proper office of a friend is to side with you when you are in the wrong. Nearly anybody will side with you when you are in the right.

Get a Grip On Committment, Already!

Some of you may not like what I am going to say, so please leave the room.
Are we ready? I am real big on making a commitment and staying with it all the way to the end. I may not always enjoy the way down the road I chose to take, but I stay with it! Making a true commitment sends messages to others, as well as to yourself (if you are listening) ,about who you are as a person at that point in your life. It develops a trust factor in your personality and it shows others your true dedication to seeing things through. If you chose to voluntarily place yourself emotionally, physically, or intellectually to a course of action, you are making a commitment and need to see it done! It shows that you are sincere and focused in what you have chosen to undertake.So, review your commitments. They can be those found in relationships, goals, jobs, family, friends, your physical health, and your emotional health. If you have made the sincere effort in those areas of your life, great! I applaud you. If you feel any hesitation, time to sit yourself down and review some things, right?So, please do not make a promise or an agreement to do something in the future, unless you will give it your all! You can do anything in life, as long as you are alive and well. Once you’re gone, oh well.

What Chapter are you on????

I believe there is a room, somewhere other then here on Earth, that has millions and millions of books! I believe we are all the main characters in them. See, you did not know you were famous, did you? Let me explain my crazy statements, ok?
Think about a handful of people you know that are either family members, friends, coworkers, etc. Take a moment to figure out when you last said, :What’s their problem?”
Well, I believe we are all playing out what is in our book and that we are doing our best to coexist with “the others” who are obviously on a different chapter! It has nothing to do with anything going on with you personally, it just is.
If you can follow this, it will help you stay a lot calmer in your dealings with other individuals on a daily basis. Each of us are unique. Each of us are weird. Each of us are just trying to stay alive. We need to focus on ourselves, and not get so involved in the lives of others so that we can expand our own personal growth. I am not saying we should not be empathetic to others. We should always do our best in guiding those that ask for help. We just can not get too involved or we will lose sight of our goals and our plans. Professional help is always available.
So, teach yourself ways to learn to tolerate stressful situations in your life. Take them on a daily basis. When you feel like you are about to have an explosion, just relax, take some deep breaths, and remember we are all on different chapters in our books of life. If you are lucky, maybe a few times a year you might actually be on the same page!!!!!

What’d You Say to Me???????

What’d you say to me?

I always base my responses to people I speak to on a daily basis with facts. I look into my heart before I actually blurt out a response. I am fortunate to admit that I do not have any hesitations with confrontations with individuals, who in my opinion, are NOT making the accurate conclusions in a situation that just occurred.

Here is what I mean. Have in ever been grocery shopping and you are on your way to the cash register to check out and someone comes flying out the blue and cuts right in front of you. Now, I know what you are thinking. You figure what is the big deal. Just let them go. No problem, right? Well, in my opinion, there is a problem. I believe we should all be courteous to one another, but not abusive. I feel if I do nothing in this situation, someone one day will be very upset if it happened to them. You know that person will do it again. They do not think they are doing anything wrong. Right?

So, what I would do is this. I would acknowledge what just occurred to the other person involved. I would state the facts of what just happened. I would let them know that I am not going to let the situation go by un-noticed. Then I would tell them that if they were in such a hurry that they had to be rude about it, go right ahead.

Usually the other person will either ignore you or they will say they are sorry. Hopefully you will feel better about yourself by being about to speak to someone with sincerity and see that they actually care!

IF IN ANY WAY YOU FEEL THREATENED BY ANYONE, JUST FOLLOW THIS RULE….SAY NOTHING!!!!!!!

Luisa
