Just staying calm…..

I decided to stay calm and not get stressed out with shopping for gifts. I am having fun just taking my time and looking around. I am not really buying much…yet. I did get a bunch of baskets and cookie tins at Costco. I love having them around to give to my company during the holidays. I also loaded up on coffee and tea. I love the smell of coffee brewing! My dining room is all light up and my Christmas tree is looking good. I love to have the lights on. I can’t wait for it to get dark out! I am really doing my best to ignore people who seem to want to put a damper on things. I always look for the positive in the situation. I am not getting caught up in the anger and hatred some people like to show this time of year. I think I will hang out with those that really appreciate life and the meaning of Christmas. I LOVE Christmas. I LOVE having people over and seeing them laugh and smile. That is the best present they can give me. I hope you all do your best to see the nice side of people. Try to ignore the other side, especially around the holidays. Oh well, just thinking out loud. Thanks for visiting. Have many smiles this week.

Just thinking about things…..

What did you do this week that made you happier than last week?

Any special plans for the weekend?

I am very happy that my moms surgery for cataracts is all done and it went well. She can see distance now without glasses! She needs to get fit next week for reading glasses only! I am still waiting to get my new reading glasses. I hear they will be ready on Monday. Can’t wait to show ya.

My hubby and younger son will be going to the  LA car show this weekend. My younger son wants to sell his truck and buy a more comfortable car. I really have no desire to go look at cars. I guess I will stay home and catch up on reading. My older son will be home. Maybe I can get him to take me to lunch. lol

I know a lot of you have been having health issues. Hope you are recovering and will be back to blogging soon. I am starting to get party invitations for Christmas and Hanukkah. I realized that I need to burn off some of this body fat so I can look “cool” in my outfit. Speaking of outfits, of course I have nothing to wear! A reason to go shopping, right? I will try to remember to show you all what I got. Your feedback is important to me. I gotta look cool! lol

Just talking…..

I am just being lazy today. I am exhausted from all of the activities of Thanksgiving. I was not even going to attempt shopping today. Did you?

I am just going to wait this year with gift buying. I have a few ideas, but I am not ready to take the leap. There are so many stores out there with deals, I am sure I will have no problem if I wait. What are you planning to do about shopping for gifts?

I really like to get into the spirit of this time of year. To me, it is a magical time. I wish it stayed the same way all year long, don’t you?

I am blessed to be in good health. I am blessed to have my family at home. I am blessed in many ways that I do not take for granted. Do you feel you need more blessings or do you have enough?

I will be stopping in every now and then. I am sure I will smile when I visit your blogs. Have fun with blogging. Have fun with life. It is meant to be lived.

What does Christmas mean to you…just wondering

Well, it appears I am getting in a mood over all of the hectic stuff going around all over the place out here in California. I am sure you all have a taste of the craziness where you all live, no matter where in this world. Am I right? I mean, are you all going crazy counting your money and making your list? What is this list we are making and who gets on it? What if we forget someone or something? Is this what Christmas is all about to you? Does it mean you have to get stressed out trying to figure out what to buy or not buy for someone, or do you just smile, take a deep breathe, and enjoy everything around you in a positive way? Or, do you get hateful and nasty to everyone who gets in your way? Be honest now. I personally have no problem admitting that my meaning of Christmas is on the religious side. I look at Christmas as a chamce to bring out the goodness in all of us. I look at Christmas as the chance for peace within all of us. I look at Christmas as the beginning of where our hearts should be. I look at Christmas as a birth.

What is your opinion? Do not be afraid to speak the truth, you have the right to believe what you want to believe.

I KNOW WHAT YOU GOT ME*

I hate it!
I hate that I can figure out what people got me for Christmas!
I swear I do not peek!
I always know what is in the package!
Does that make it bad?
I always act surprised.
I do not want to ruin it for others.
How do I do it, you ask?
Do I have ESP or something?
I do not believe so!
I think I figure it out by the questions people ask me.
I KNOW why they are asking them!
I try to answer differently, so MAYBE I can be surprised…sometime.
