The road that never ends

Decided to Re-blog this one I wrote a while back. ๐Ÿ™‚

From the beginning, we are made to endure. We are nestled in our motherโ€™s womb, peaceful and unobservant. We begin to recognize what we need to do to make our world a happier place. We begin the road that never ends.

We are born into an air of confusion. Noises and activity surround us everywhere. We are keen to what gets us attention. We continue on the road that never ends.

As we grow older, out brain is feed with information we have to learn to process, or we will continue to exist. We develop ways to stay alive and survive, not wanting to face the alternative. So, we continue on the road that never ends.

There are days that I wish to swim. There are days I wish to fly. There are those days I want to call a taxi. There are days I wish the road would end. What makes me get back on that path? What makes me even care? What gives me the strength to face the challenges thrown my way? It is faith. Faith in mankind. Faith in our existence. Faith in our destiny. Faith to believe.

May you all find the strength to take hold of the challenges that present you with an attitude of defeat. Believe in yourself and what you are able to do. Keep your faith in whatever you wish to believe. Make it happen.

Be Proud of who YOU are*

If this life we are faced with many challenges. Some of them we ignore. Some of them we can not. We do our best to maintain our dignity and self respect when we deal with the issues we are facing. We make a choice. We move ahead. We wait and see what happens. Sometimes we are criticized.
Sometimes we are applauded. Before you make a choice, really stop and think what will happen to others when you do. Think of others and not just yourself. When you do so, YOU will succeed. Always be PROUD of your decisions. Stand tall. Keep your SELF RESPECT and DIGNITY first. ALWAYS!

Digital footprins with EVERIPEDIA*

I am learning a bit about one’s digital footprints. I never even heard of this before I started doing computer classes. Digital footprints of a person means:

“There are two main classifications for digital footprints: passive and active. A passive digital footprint is created when data is collected without the owner knowing, whereas active digital footprints are created when personal data is released deliberately by a user for the purpose of sharing information about oneself by means of websites or social media.[1]”

Well, I found a site that started using and would like to share it with you all. I wrote a little something for it. Enjoy and have fun stepping out! Introducing EVERIPEDIA
:

Everyone’s Encyclopedia!

Very good choice for centralizing and sorting people’s digital footprints.

Everyone’s information will be easily accessible for you.

Readily allows users to up and downvote the links associated with people’s pages and only the interesting ones will prevail!

Internet searches you make with EVERIPEDIA
will change the way you do your research and fact finding.

People you follow on facebook and twitter will have a different perceptive to you. Imagine what you will find out about them!

Enjoy reading all of the interesting facts you will have access to!

Do your research. Get started!

Intelligent choices for you to make when you are searching for information on a certain subject you are interested in.

All you have to do to use LINKSEARCHย  and take the link to that person’s profile or that news article you are reading, and then PASTE it on the search bar. This will bring up for you all of the remaining part of their footprint.

I hope you all have as much fun as I do on EVERIPEDIA
. It sure makes doing homework easier!

What difference does it make?

What I mean is, why do people get all wrapped up and pissed off about things that do not really make any difference anyways in life? I mean really, what is the big deal about people just saying what they are feeling and thinking and then you just let it in one earย  and out the other? Why is it always necessary to try to pick a fight and get all stressed out over something that was never a big deal in the first place? Geez, relax! Everyone is allowed to have an OPINION, just don’t always expect that people will just embrace it! Take it easy. Get off my case. Let me live!!

GOLFING FUN*

A man staggers into an emergency room with a concussion, multiple bruises, two black eyes and a five iron wrapped tightly around his throat.

Naturally, the doctor asks him what happened.

“Well, it was like this,” said the man. “I was having a quiet round of golf with my wife, when at a difficult hole, we both sliced our balls into a pasture of cows.”

“We went to look for them, and while I was rooting around noticed one of the cows had something white at its rear end. I walked over and lifted up the tail, and sure enough, there was a golf ball with my wife’s monogram on it– stuck right in the middle of the cow’s butt.”

“That’s when I made my big mistake.”

“What did you do?” asks the doctor.

“Well, I lifted the cow’s tail again and yelled to my wife, Hey, this looks like yours!”

“I don’t remember much after that”!

LAUGH! HAVE FUN IN LIFE! SMILE!

You Don’t Have to be SO Nasty!

Geez, you don’t have to be so nasty, do you?

I mean, life is a *itch at times, but do you have to buy into that way of thinking?

Can’t you just look the other way?

Can’t you just take it for what its worth….just an opinion.

Can’t you see life passing you by and you’re just dead one day?

Is it really worth all the aggravation?

Is it really worth all the headaches and chest pains?

NO! STOP IT!

Live.

Have fun.

Take it slow.

Take it calmly.

Work it out.

Reach a peace within you. Accept it for what it is. No more fighting. YOU can’t change it. You can only handle it.

Take care of yourself each new day…Do You?

For many of us it takes an unhappy event to make us “open our eyes.” Some of us seem to think that everything is going to be fine and nothing is going to happen. I am sure many of you can relate to this or have many you know that feel this way. Well, in my opinion…I say take care of yourself each new day you are given. Eat a diet that covers all of the food groups you learned about in school..not just a few of them. Get exercise by moving and doing what you love to do instead of hate to do. Just move. Talk and spend time with your family and friends. Do not just figure they will be there when you want them to be. Pay attention to the world and what is around you. Stop taking things for granted. Each of you have many things that make you sad. Do not focus on them. Stay focused on the good in your life and the positive will happen. Always focus on what can be done, not what is already done. Focus on the fact that you are alive. Focus on the facts, not the unknown. Life can be hard. Life can be a challenge. Life can be lived in unity. Life can be acheived. Just believe in yourself. Stay healthy and well. If you need help, get it. Do not wait. Just do.

I have a brother who suffered a massive stroke on Father’s Day. He is 50 years old. I can not express to you any details out of respect for the family. I can express to you that I KNOW personally that what I just wrote is true.

RETIRED HEALTH MESSAGE

As I was lying in bed pondering the problems of the world, I rapidly realized that I don’t really give a rat’s hiney. It’s the tortoise life for me!
1.. If walking is good for your health, the postman would be immortal.
2.. A whale swims all day, only eats fish, drinks water, and is fat.
3.. A rabbit runs and hops and only lives 15 years.
4.. A tortoise doesn’t run and does nothing, yet it lives for 450 years.
And you tell me to exercise?? I don’t think so.

I’m retired. Go around me.

God grant me the senility to forget the people I never liked, the good fortune to run into the ones I do, and the eyesight to tell the difference.

Now that I’m older here’s what I’ve discovered:
1. I started out with nothing, and I still have most of it.

2. My wild oats have turned into prunes and all-bran.

3. I finally got my head together, and now my body is falling apart.

4. Funny, I don’t remember being absent-minded.

5. Funny, I don’t remember being absent-minded.

6. If all is not lost, where is it?

7. It is easier to get older than it is to get wiser.

8. Some days, you’re the dog; some days you’re the hydrant.

9. I wish the buck stopped here; I sure could use a few.

10. Kids in the back seat cause accidents.

11. Accidents in the back seat cause kids.

12. It’s hard to make a comeback when you haven’t been anywhere.

13. The only time the world beats a path to your door is when you’re in the bathroom.

14. If God wanted me to touch my toes, he’d have put them on my knees.

15. When I’m finally holding all the cards, why does everyone want to play chess?

16. Its not hard to meet expenses . . . they’re everywhere.

17. The only difference between a rut and a grave is the depth.

18. These days, I spend a lot of time thinking about the hereafter . . .I go somewhere to get something, and then wonder what I’m hereafter

19. Funny, I don’t remember being absent-minded.

20. DID I SEND THESE TO YOU BEFORE……….??????

Have a fun week! Be sure to laugh and smile often.

Born 1930 – 1979…….by Jay Leno*

You definitely need to read the statement by Jay. Oh so true.

Those of You Born
1930 – 1979

TO ALL THE KIDS WHO SURVIVED THE
1930’s, 40’s, 50’s, 60’s and 70’s!

First, we survived being born to mothers
Who smoked and/or drank while they were
Pregnant.

They took aspirin, ate blue cheese dressing,
Tuna from a can and didn’t get tested for diabetes.

Then after that trauma, we were put to sleep on our tummies in baby cribs covered with bright colored lead-base paints.
We had no childproof lids on medicine bottles,
Locks on doors or cabinets and when we rode
Our bikes, we had baseball caps not helmets on our heads.
As infants & children,
We would ride in cars with no car seats,
No booster seats, no seat belts, no air bags, bald tires and sometimes no brakes.
Riding in the back of a pick-up truck on a warm day
Was always a special treat.

We drank water
From the garden hose and not from a bottle.

We shared one soft drink with four friends,
From one bottle and no one actually died from this.

We ate cupcakes, white bread, real butter and bacon..
We drank Kool-Aid made with real white sugar.
And, we weren’t overweight.
WHY?

Because we were
Always outside playing…that’s why!

We would leave home in the morning and play all day,
As long as we were back when the
Streetlights came on.

No one was able
To reach us all day. And, we were O.K.

We would spend hours building our go-carts out of scraps
And then ride them down the hill, only to find out
We forgot the brakes. After running into the bushes
a few times, we learned to solve the problem.

We did not have Playstations, Nintendo’s and X-boxes.
There were no video games, no 150 channels on cable,
No video movies or DVD’s, no surround-sound or CD’s,
No cell phones, No personal computers, no Internet and no chat rooms.
WE HAD FRIENDS
And we went outside and found them!

We fell out of trees, got cut, broke bones and teeth
And there were no lawsuits from these accidents.

We ate worms and mud pies made from dirt,
And the worms did not live in us
Forever.

We were given BB guns for our 10th birthdays,
Made up games with sticks and tennis balls and,
Although we were told it would happen,
We did not put out very many eyes.

We rode bikes or walked to a friend’s house and
Knocked on the door or rang the bell, or just
Walked in and talked to them.

Little League had tryouts and not everyone made the team.
Those who didn’t had to learn to deal
With disappointment.
Imagine that!!

The idea of a parent bailing us out if we broke the law
Was unheard of.
They actually sided with the law!

These generations have produced some of the best
Risk-takers, problem solvers and inventors ever.

The past 50 years
Have been an explosion of innovation and new ideas.
We had freedom, failure, success and responsibility,
and we learned how to deal with it all.

If YOU are one of them?
CONGRATULATIONS!
You might want to share this with others
who have had the luck to grow up as kids, before the
lawyers and the government regulated so much of our lives
for our own good .

While you are at it, forward it to your kids so they will know
how brave and lucky their parents were.

Kind of makes you want to run through the house
with scissors, doesn’t it ?

The quote of the
month is by Jay Leno:
“With hurricanes, tornados, fires out of control,
mud slides, flooding, severe thunderstorms
tearing up the country from one end to another,
and with the threat of swine flu
and terrorist attacks.
Are we sure this is a good time
to take God out of the Pledge of Allegiance?’

For those that prefer to think that God is not watching over us.. …bye..
