What the HE** just happened?

I guess this is a message to who ever is out there listening and reading about what is going on these days in this world of ours. It seems like we, the general public, are always allowing some of our strings to be moved if we consider we are just some kind of puppet in this society of ours. We seem to fall into the trap of just surrendering and just agreeing with what ever every one else is saying. Well, that bothers me. I was raised by 2 Italian parents who immigrated here, became citizens, and kept their Italian culture alive in their home and also kept the rules of the USA in their heads, and ours! My dad was always telling us to be proud to be AMERICANS, but do not forget where your parents were born. I listened. I went to college, working 2 jobs and paying for it MYSELF. I got a BA degree and then immediately starting working 2 jobs. I eventually got married and had 2 children. They both went to college and are also working 2 jobs. So, I feel very blessed. Our hard work and our prayers do count. You just have to keep focused on YOUR goals, not the other guys! YOU COUNT!

Weekend Funnies

Did you hear about the constipated accountant?

He couldn’t budget.

*****

A little boy is walking down the country road one day when he comes across a man who has a truck load of cow manure.

The boy asks him what he’s going to do with all that cow poop.

The man says, “I’m taking it home to put on my strawberries.”

The little boy looks up at the man and says, “I don’t know where you come from, but where I come from we put cream and sugar on our strawberries.”

*****

A man was sitting at a bar one day when a pirate walked in. The pirate had a wooden leg, a hook for one hand, and a patch over one eye.

Feeling sorry for the pirate, the man said, “Come over here, my friend. You look as though you’ve had a tough life and I’d like to buy you a drink.”

The pirate gladly went over to the man who ordered him a rum.

Then the man asked the pirate, “I’m curious, how did you lose your leg?”

“Arrrgh!” said the pirate, “I lost that timber to a tiger shark in the Caribbean when I was thrown overboard for stealing a man’s rum.”

“Wow, that’s awful!” said the man. “And tell me, how did you lose your hand?”

“Arrrgh!” replied the pirate, “I lost that fighting cannibals on a treasure island.”

“Oh my word!” the man said, “How awful! And tell me, how did you lose your eye?”

The pirate said, “Arrrgh! A seagull pooped in it!”

“A seagull!” The man was surprised. He asked, “Is seagull poop dangerous?!”

The pirate said, “Nay, matey, it was me first day with the hook.”

People say love is the best feeling ever.

But I think finding a toilet when you’re having diarrhea is better.

*****

I went into a public toilet for a poop the other day. I’d just sat down when I heard a voice from the next cubicle say, “Hi, how are you?”

I was a little embarrassed but I replied, “I’m fine thanks.”

Then the voice asked, “So what are you up to?”

I replied, “Just doing the same as you, sitting here.”

Then the voice asked, “Can I come over?”

Annoyed, I said, “Actually, I’m a little busy right now.”

The voice then said, “Listen, I’ll have to call you back, there’s an idiot next door who keeps answering all my questions.”

If you do not recognize what is going on, what can I say?
If you do not see the wrong that is shining, what can I do?

If you continue to live in your own little world, what of others?

If you fail to see the BIG agenda, what can be done?

Listen and learn ON YOUR OWN.

Do not always fall prey to the gossip.

Do not alwats surrender in weakness.

Hold strong to the facts.

You have an opinion that counts.
YOU DO MATTER!

Believe*

There comes a point and time in our lives where we are not really sure exactly what the hell we believe in. I hope that you have all found a place in your life where you can say you have achieved some type of peace with things. We all need to find that balance in our lives where we can actually not get annoyed when we look at ourselves in the mirror. I can honestly say that I have reached that blessing in my life. I have fought hard and strong. I have stayed focused. I have stayed true. I have not injured anyone along the way. I can say that I am at peace and can accept any challenge., Can you?

Demented Mom

If you think that you will understand me one day soon, you will not.
If you think that you will find a magic pill that will cure me, you will not.
If you think that I am happy doing and saying what I am, I am not.
If you think I can understand your look of confusion now, I do not.
If you can just leave me alone to be in my own little new  world, I will be fine.
You are not welcomed.
You are not needed.
You are only there some of the time.
Most days, I just go along my merry way.
If I want to shout, I will.
If I want to try to get out of bed, I will.
If I want to spit out my food, I will.
If I do not want to take my medicine, it is my problem, not yours.
You can only do so much for those like me.
My body has already been invaded by the aliens that hate good mental health.
You can help by joining in the battle to fight this beast called dementia.
That would make me smile.

No matter what, just remember that I will always love you.

Thank you.

Your mother*
