Just staying calm…..

I decided to stay calm and not get stressed out with shopping for gifts. I am having fun just taking my time and looking around. I am not really buying much…yet. I did get a bunch of baskets and cookie tins at Costco. I love having them around to give to my company during the holidays. I also loaded up on coffee and tea. I love the smell of coffee brewing! My dining room is all light up and my Christmas tree is looking good. I love to have the lights on. I can’t wait for it to get dark out! I am really doing my best to ignore people who seem to want to put a damper on things. I always look for the positive in the situation. I am not getting caught up in the anger and hatred some people like to show this time of year. I think I will hang out with those that really appreciate life and the meaning of Christmas. I LOVE Christmas. I LOVE having people over and seeing them laugh and smile. That is the best present they can give me. I hope you all do your best to see the nice side of people. Try to ignore the other side, especially around the holidays. Oh well, just thinking out loud. Thanks for visiting. Have many smiles this week.

  1. So sweet to just take you time when shopping rather than the mad rush I see out there…which I admit I avoid like the plague…have a great week!

  2. Be cool as ever For me keeping cool is a bit difficult –But outwardly I look very cool —

The world belongs to the Enthusiast who keeps cool–William Mcfee
Keep cool , anger is not an arguement –Daniel Webster

    • Lviss, thank you for those quotes. First time I have heard them. They do make sense.
As far as you staying cool, get rid of whatever is keeping you sluggish and dance! Is it something really bad you want to share? I do hope it is not. I am very fond of you and want you around! 🙂

  3. When I began not celebrating Christmas 18 years ago I was amazed at the stress reduction I experienced at this time of the year. I found the best way to have peace & goodwill is to not have the celebration that is supposed to encourage it.

  4. Hi,
I agree, I also love Xmas, all the different coloured lights everywhere, beautiful decorations, and I also try to avoid the mad rush that is inevitable this time of year.
If I don’t get back before Christmas, I hope you and your family have a wonderful Christmas and a fantastic New Year.
