One way that I keep my sanity is by concluding that life is all about choices. From the day we are born, we have support and guidance. We are taught what is right and what is just plain wrong. We know what we should be doing, but we’d rather be doing the opposite…for whatever reason. We seem to justify our actions, even though we know that the actions are the wrong ones. We all have choices in life. Plain and simple. Some of us are luckier than others. Our backgrounds may differ alot. When my parents came over from Italy, they had to start all over again. They struggled. They had support. They had determination. They had faith. They valued the gifts they did have, and did not dwell on those gifts they did not have. I grew up adjusting with the times. I grew up with my eyes open. I grew up with a determination to succeed. I valued my personal growth. I wanted to be as balanced as possible. I felt only then that I could take on the world….with a smile, of course. So, that is what I do everyday. That is just one way that I stay sane. We all have to come up with ways to cope in life. Never give up. Never dwell on the negatives. Always do your best to turn the negatives into a positive. I want everyone to believe in themselves. Do the best, with a smile and with all your heart. Then, you can be proud and stand tall. Then you can be more accepting of others. I hope you are all doing well. I am working as fast as possible, believe me. lol
