SUMMER MANNERS
You remember what they are?
Or did you conveniently forget?
Do you realize that their are other creatures roaming this planet??
Or did you conveniently forget?
Do you realize that others have a right to things?
Or did you conveniently forget?
Do you realize that others deserve to be happy?
Or did you conveniently forget?
Do you realize that it does not matter what your backgrounds are?
Or did you conveniently forget?
All of us have the same body parts, right?
Or did you conveniently forget?
So, use those manners you were taught.
Quit acting ignorant about them.
Be a gentleman.
Be a lady.
Allow everyone to be who they are.
I have noticed A LOT of people smiling. I have also noticed A LOT of people with bad manners. It is summer, right??? Time for fun in the sun. Be nice. Be polite. Smile. That is what I am going to be doing, you??? .
Bedside Manners
Susie’s husband had been slipping in and out of a coma for several months. Things looked grim, but she was by his bedside every single day. One day as he slipped back into consciousness, he motioned for her to come close to him. She pulled the chair close to the bed and leaned her ear close to be able to hear him.
“You know” he whispered, his eyes filling with tears, “you have been with me through all the bad times. When I got fired, you stuck right beside me. When my business went under, there you were. When we lost the house, you were there. When I got shot, you stuck with me. When my health started failing, you were still by my side. “And you know what?”
“What, dear?” she asked gently, smiling to herself.
“I think you’re bad luck.”

The other day, yesterday I go into a public restroom I love at the seat and their are foot prints. Please I know some people like to stand on the potty, but it leaves foot prints. Sheesh.

I’ve noticed people have bad manners no matter WHAT season of the year it is!
A library Patron spilled a flower vase I had on my desk and never said she was sorry or anything else! I’m thankful it didn’t spill on anything important!

Hey Doraz – I LOVE your poem. I am going to show it to my mum because I know she will love it too. Life is good and it’s ALWAYS made better by realising that other people are just as important as we ourselves are. I guess it stems back to those wise (biblical) words “Love Thy Neighbour as Thyself”.
