  1. I LOVE to make pasta for guests – you can make it in advance and have your time free to actually enjoy your company — and everybody loves pasta, right? xoxo

  2. Aw shit! I’m really not the hostess with the mostest. My hubby would probably grill steaks or a prime rib if we REALLY wanted to impress.

  3. Well, I love to make lasagna because it is an easy dish to have ready to go. Sandy said it is so, right? She knows…what a great cook she is! I also would make an antipasta salad, and a bread dish. I would stuff everyone…but, you got to have room for that tiramisu! If you come over, would you like all this food? 🙂

  4. First I’ll have to find out if the guest/s are vegetarian. If not, then probably some pasta, potatoes, steak with vegetable side dish. You can never go wrong with that.

    • I think it is very nice of you to want to know if any guests are vegetarians. I have not had any beef since 1960, so I would fit into the “different” one! I would love to have dinner at your place also! 🙂

  5. i loooove the sound of your lasagna, salad and TIRAMISU……i’m coming over now!!!

and i would probably bring you Thai food, if you’re ok with that as i do make a ‘mean’ tom yam…..eh, according to the dadster as i can’t be seen to be blowing my own trumpet right?????

    chikisses
    coco
pee ess: just give me my kibbles bol….

  6. I think I would start with a tossed salad for an appetizer with an array of salad dressings and flavored croutons to choose from. For the main course I would make Vietnamese lamb chops with wild rice and broccoli. For dessert, probably a chocolate cheesecake. 😀

  7. Well if I have to impress anyone then I guess I’ll certainly make something of his/her choice . If I don’t know his/her choice of food then I will probably end up making a nice dessert or may be some chicken with gravy .

Are You A Perfect Chef Too?
Do you take interest in preparing delicious dishes or you take interest only in eating?

  8. STACKED GREEN CHILI ENCH. PLATE WITH RED BEER, NACHOS AS A TEAZER…….I LOVE MEXICAN FOOD.

  9. I will make a big commotion about how there is a really good restaurant somewhere and we should patronize it … in a non-patronizing way.

  10. I would also take them to a nice restaurant. If I have to cook, it depends on who is coming. It could be Minestrone soup, a roast, or a pasta dish. I have about 2 million recipes…. somewhere.

  11. Uhmmm it’s called Chicken Asado. My mom’s specialty. Everybody likes it, even my foreigner friends. 🙂
here’s a picture. So easy to cook, you can try it.

  12. keep it simple and they love it even more…be extravagant and spoil it and that is a wreck.

I like doing chicken..baked, fried, steamed, anyway with potatoes and vegetables..with a good juice

  13. Great conversation? Oh and maybe a roast. Depends on who it is and what they would enjoy.

  14. NOTHING. I WILL TAKE HM TO A DECENT HOTEL AND FEED HIS STOMACH AND EGO.

  15. I would have to go with lasagna too with a salad and a nice fresh loaf of bread. At least I know I can’t overcook that! I have a habit of overcooking things when I HAVE to cook for others under pressure!

  16. Congrats on the award (from a previous post).

We eat lots of pasta as well, and even though we are trying to impress the visitor, we would want to give them a sample of how a nice (and ok maybe too loud with the kids) dinner is here–pasta and red sauce, a green vegetable, bread, and something not too strong for dessert.

  17. Te he he he.
