A POEM ABOUT REASON*

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

Is a poet a poet because of the words they write on paper?
Or are they a poet because of the sorrow they feel in their heart?
Does a poet really understand how people feel?
Or are they just pretending their path in life?
Does a poet have the courage to speak the truth within?
Or does a poet write what their audience wants to hear?
What kind of poet am I?
Or would some even question why I give myself this description?
Whatever it may be…
Poetry is very special TO ME*

  1. We do believe you speak from the heart when you write your poems. You are very sincere, we know that about you. Like you said, it makes you happy. πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

  2. Poetry can be born of all of the above. It is personal. No matter what an audience thinks, if it is real for the poet ,it is real. If it is written commercially and it happens to touch someone who reads it, then its real for that reader.

Of course you are a poet! And a very good one at that πŸ™‚

  7. Is a poet a poet because they reveal themselves in small pieces, bit by bit? Or a poet because they are attempting to touch humanity one word at a time? I see that you are a poet.

  9. POET BECOMES A POET WHEN OTHERS CALL THEM SO. NOBODY CALLED ME ONE TO THIS DAY.
