The Urge to Run and Hide*

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

We have ALL reached a point and time in our lives where we have ALL just wanted to run and hide, right? Well, I seem to be at that point again! I can not even say…school is out for the summer, because my two kids have elected to go to summer school! Are they crazy? Do they love school SOOO much? They claim to want to get ahead with their studies, but them doing that seems to get me behind in EVERYTHING ELSE! It takes a lot of energy and drive to stay focused and secure 24/7, these days! I am always one step ahead of the game, but I am tired of playing the game…and just want to say I lost! That way I can just run and hide, in my office…and blog…or whatever else! I would love to do whatever else…24/7! I guess I can try it out for a few days, and then maybe this too shall pass! Or, I can quickly pack a suitcase and make my escape when no one is around! I have sooo many places I can go! Nothing stopping me, right? Wrong! I just could not do it to my crazy family! I will get myself adjusted mentally, my usual way….go shopping for a new purse and more shoes! LOL Oh, I can not forget my trips to get Starbucks Mocha Frappuccinos. Yummy~~~ Want to join me? Come on!!! See, I feel better already~~~

  1. DORAZ, THIS IS CALLED POST VACATION JITTERS, YOU STOP AND REALIZE THAT IT IS BACK TO THE SAME OLD GRIND THAT YOU DREAD SOMEDAYS! IT MAKES YOU WANT TO GO BACK TO THE HAPPY PLACE YOU JUST LEFT!

  2. Sure….. I’ll join you for a Mocha Frap that does sound yummy.! And then we can go look at shoes and purses. I know I can get over whelmed easy and there are definitely times I’d like to hide under the bed or crawl in the closest. Usually when I’m feeling this way I try to rest and pull back from everything I can and re-charge my battery.LOL I’m always talking about recharging my battery. Life can be demanding and hectic.

  3. Just plan more mini vacations to your mountain house. You always seem to enjoy them! 🙂 Starbucks and shopping are also great!

  4. OK DORAZ I PUT A CARTOON OF YOUR VACATION FUN TIME IN PALM SPRINGS UP ON MY BLOG, GO CHECK IT OUT!

  5. UNLESS U DISCONTINUE THEIR STUDIES WHICH NO SANE PERSON WILL SUGGEST THIS POST VACATION JITTERS ( AS PPH POINT OUT) ARE AN OCCUPATIONAL HAZARD,.- U WILL GET USED TO IT IF U BURY URSELF IN UR BLOGGING OR SOME OTHER CHORE.

    • lviss, I love that my kids are so dedicated to their studies. I just want them to have FUN also. It is hard to get them away, but I do~~~ 🙂 I threaten them. I tell them we will not pay for their education, they must work…like we had to~~~~ Gets them..all the time~~~ 🙂

  6. I know exactly how you are feeling! I keep trying to hide but THEY keep finding me!

  7. I don’t know about shoes and coffee, but if we throw a cookie into the mix, I’m all in!

  8. Just hang in there. One day when your kids are grown and gone, trust me, you’ll miss these days when your mind travels back. It seems hectic now but they aren’t going to be around forever. There are more times than I can say that I wished I was back doing all that running around that I complained about at the time.

    • Joy, I hear you! That is exactly what helps me to keep going! I realize what you have said to be true. Italian families do have a tendency to keep the kids around for a while! We will see what plans out at my house~~~~ 🙂

  9. Coffee is the Universal cure for many ills. I’d join you if I could. We’d have a grand day.

  10. S.Le….I have NO doubt that you and I would have a fabulous time at it~~~~~ 🙂 Any CA plans????

  11. I know what you mean Luisa! Sometimes you just get tired of playing the game and want to throw in the towel.

I would have to agree with S. Le! Coffee really is the universal cure all! 😀

I hope you start feeling better soon. 😀

    • Hi Gary…Glad you are back! Happy you had a chance to get some rest and relaxation with your family! Me, no worry…I snap out of “my mood” pretty quickly…with the help of my friends~~~ 🙂

  12. It is nice to escape, we all need it. I find that blogging is my escape and a chance to everyday run away.

  13. While you’re at Starbucks, can you pick me up a Java Chip?
