From the diary of a Pre-School Teacher
My five-year old students are learning to read.
Yesterday one of them pointed at a picture in a zoo book and said,
“Look at this! It’s a frickin’ elephant!”
I took a deep breath, then asked… “What did you call it?”
“It’s a frickin’ elephant! It says so on the picture!”
And so it does…
” A f r i c a n Elephant “
Hooked on phonics! Isn’t it wonderful?

When my youngest stepson was about 10 he came home from a friends house & asked Michelle if she could get some European Ham.
Not sure what he meant she asked him what’s European Ham
He replied: I had lunch at Ben’s & his Mum made really nice European Ham Soup,
LOL! English can be funny.
