Once Upon A Time…A STORY*

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

Once upon a time there was a bunch
of tiny frogs…. who arranged a
running competition.
The goal was to reach the top of a
very high tower.
A big crowd had gathered around
the tower to see the race and cheer
on the contestants. …
The race began….
Honestly:
No one in the crowd really believed
that the tiny frogs would reach the
top of the tower.
You heard statements such as:
“Oh, WAY too difficult!!”
“They will NEVER make it to the top.”
or:
“Not a chance that they will succeed.
The tower is too high!”
The tiny frogs began collapsing. One
by one….

Except for those, who in a fresh
tempo, were climbing higher and
higher..

The crowd continued to yell, “It is
too difficult!!! No one will make it!”

More tiny frogs got tired and gave
up….

But ONE continued higher and higher
and higher….

This one wouldn’t give up!

At the end everyone else had given
up climbing the tower. Except for
the one tiny frog who, after a big
effort, was the only one who
reached the top!

THEN all of the other tiny frogs
naturally wanted to know how this
one frog managed to do it?
A contestant asked the tiny frog
how he had found the strength to
succeed and reach the goal?

It turned out….
That the winner was DEAF!!!!

The wisdom of this story is:
Never listen to other people’s
tendencies to be

negative or pessimistic. …because
they take your most wonderful
dreams and wishes away from
you — the ones you have in your
heart!

Always think of the power words
have.

Because everything you hear and
read will affect your actions!

Therefore: ALWAYS be…. POSITIVE!

And above all:
Be DEAF when people tell YOU
that you cannot fulfill your
dreams!

Kristi, I believe in the message in this story you sent me…thanks!

MY QUESTION TO YOU ALL….

Have you been in a similar
situation? How did you respond?

  1. I always follow my heart and believe in the positive in life. I could not cope, otherwise~~~~Thanks to Kristi

I have been confronted, in the past, with many people who were afraid of my position with the company where I worked. They always tried to discourage me so I would quit. I stayed strong with the truth, and they did leave me alone eventually!

  2. I have had to deal with people all my life who try to sabotage my efforts and try to stop me from being successful, because they are jealous. Damn shame people are that way!

  3. I find it is my own negative thoughts that stop me from doing what I want but this year I’ve been trying to put a stop to that. So, I’m starting piano lessons in a few weeks and I’m hoping to go back to college soon to start a degree. Still, half of me thinks I’m not clever enough to learn but as your story says I will try to make myself deaf to my own thoughts.

    • Hi Michelle Best….hope you are off to a great week~~~
I think it is great that you have made some decisions on your life path and are making some great changes~~~~The thing to remember is, if they are not working out…it is ok to change the mix , until you find something that does work for you. The fact that you decided to make changes and be more positive is great. You are on the way~~~~~:) What do you want to study, any ideas?

      • Hi Doraz – I’ve got two very different subjects in mind – computer science or history! Can’t decide but I’m going to an open day at a local uni soon so hopefully that will help. Thanks πŸ™‚

        • Hi Michelle…
That sounds like a plan. You will figure it out. I have a son in his third year at college, and he went through a lot before he found what he THINKS he wants to do! Take your time. πŸ™‚ No rush~~~

  4. AND ACT DUMB. DONT TELL OTHERS THAT U DID NOT HEAR .

  5. IN MY CASE THEY SOMETIME ENCOURAGED ME TO DO THINGS BEYOND ME . I LISTENED TO THEM AND GOT FRIED.

  6. just one advise ,
in life when our heart says to do some challenging task for the benefit of others and that too without knowledge of them ,then just do it inteligentally without much thinking of consequences,
and when you accepting any challenge for the sake of your own interest then please consult once with your well wishers and beloved ones
because the voice of soul is reflected through our hearts only when we are selfless ,once the “me” starts thinking heart is detached from the soul.

    • a130368, I like your comment. It makes sense to me and it shows me that we can have a life that is rewarding and full, if we challenge ourselves and stay strong with our convictions. Have a great week.~~~~:)

  7. I was once told that it was my job in life to be submissive and accept the role of a submissive person. It was felt that since I was a girl, I should just do as I was told. Until I went to college, and learned that this is not the way, I was miserable. I will not mention who made me feel this way, but they are now dead.

    • Annabelle, I am sorry you had to experience that time in your life that must have been horrible for you. I am happy that college helped you figure out your worth in life. I wish the best to you! Stay focused and you will do great in life~~~~~:)

  8. Was that frog toadally deaf?

  9. I would say it’s probably 50/50 on dream squelching. My own thoughts and then negative comments from others. I think listening to my heart and pressing forward in spite of the naysayers including my own nay saying. To Believe in my Self and to know many things are possible, to press forward.

  10. Well done brave tiny deaf frog, I hope he reads this ‘cos he wouldn’t hear me if I said it to him.
    Giving up is easier though…..
