Do you feel you need to develop new ways to handle a “controlling family,” or do you feel you have it pretty much covered?

pretty much ignore them all~~~~~~~~~)^@
Well, I guess that is one way to handle it!
🙂
At our age, we pretty much go with the flow of things to keep the peace!
Aunt Kelly, I have seen you in action!
You have great advice!
🙂
My family has several members who feel they need to always be in charge so we all stay out of trouble! We all listen, smile, and then go home and do what we feel best! LOL
Gina, I do think that sometimes other people make valid points we do need to consider!
🙂
Pretty much covered! I stay away from them!
Rhonda, that works! 🙂
I HAVE ONLY ONE DAUGHTER , NOW MARRIED AND AWAY. VERY BRILLIANT IN STUDIES FROM DAY ONE, NO NEED TO SAY ANYTHING TO TELL HER . A BETTER ORGANISED PERSON THAN ME. A LUCKY FATHER.
Iviss, I am happy to see you so proud and happy! 🙂
I try to be friendly and polite, keep a safe distance, and keep contact to a MINIMUM.
Era, that is not a bad plan you have!
🙂
I’m with Kelly. At this stage of the game, things are the way they are and you either have to go with it or go NUTS…going with it seems the best answer.
Joy, would that be almonds, walnuts, or mixed nuts? LOL 🙂
A lot of going with the flow answers. hmm I’ll have to remember that. Also boundaries at times. Taking a stand every once in awhile. And going with the flow. I’ll have to remember this in July when my Mom in Law is visiting! LOL
Starla, it is possible to keep the flow going and speak your peace. I did it! 🙂
Luckily, we don’t have a controlling family so we have it under control. My inlaws are AWESOME and NEVER meddle where they shouldn’t.
Gary, you are one lucky guy, in many ways!
