How do FEAR and you get along when it hits?

If I know I need to be on the look out, like in a haunted house, there is not a problem. If someone comes out of no where, without me seeing ahead, I scream and swing out my purse!
I try to say to myself, “You have nothing to fear but fear itself.”
Then I run~~~~~~~~~~~ 🙂
I remain calm, look things over, then do what I need to do!
Does that involve what I think? LOL
I’m not scared of much. I don’t jump in scary movies. When I think someone is down a dark alley I walk down it and I love public speaking. Having said that I am terrified of loosing my wife, spontaneous combustion and grasshoppers. I panic over my wife. I don’ like to talk about the combustion and I try to back slowly away from grasshoppers.
Eric, those grasshoppers can get mighty nasty!!! LOL
True love is a precious gift….you have it!
ENJOY!
So far I havent come across such a situation –may be if i am caught on a lonely road in the night i may hum or whistle a song.
Iviss, would that happen out your way??? Beware!
I’m scared of small things… so I can pretty much handle them very well. Many years ago, I asked my mum what to do if I was walking home by myself because I was worried. She told me very openly to kick him in the balls, so I can use that for a lot of things.
I never particularly liked public speaking but that’s because it’s not something I want to do. I’m more interested in guitar or music, so I would handle doing that in public because I enjoy them so much.
Lyla, I would say you are a person who has a pretty good idea what works for ya! Great! Have a good day today!
I usually face it rather calmly and fall apart when it’s all said and done.
S.Le, that is one way to fly!
I don’t get along well with fear. I’m terrified of tornado’s and snakes. They will both keep me indoors.
I’ve long learned that you can’t fear some things or your life would be nothing but worry.
Joy, as long as a person is aware of fear, that is half the challenge, I think! That tornado out your way was nasty, I would have been scared, too! You are braver than you think!!
About the only thing that really SCARES me is the unknown. I don’t like NOT KNOWING!
I don’t get scared of movies or the dark or stuff like that. When I was a kid but I outgrew that and became the protector in my house. I protect my wife from spiders. LOL
Gary, so true…the unknown is a bit scary! At least it keeps us young and alert!!! 🙂
