What do you find yourself getting philosophical about, and how often are you in this mood?
“”Philosophy is the study of general problems concerning matters such as existence, knowledge, truth, beauty, justice, validity, mind, and language.””

I find myself worrying about the existence of mankind, almost on a daily basis. I remain concerned and leary of our future, I find myself thinking of this ,even more than usual!
Kelly, I would love to talk with you about this, OK?
I find myself in a philosophical mood….24/7~~~~
The environment and the economy. I think about the future and get scared for future generations.
So I think as little as possible.
S.Le……so do I.
I agree, S.Le!!!!
I used to do that more when I was younger but I can’t remember the last time I got “reflective.” Is it maybe an age thing?
Now Joy…come on…every time you write one of your posts that are on the serious side….you are being philosophical! It has nothing to do with age! It has to do with insight……you got that!!!!
quite often. It’s an interesting time that we live in. I’m a natural ponderer is that I word? I’ll ponder that.
Starla, I have wondered myself….let us think about that for a moment! LOL
Quite often . But I try not to show it out.
My philosophy in life is that anybody you know well can disappoint you. Be prepared. When it does happen I say to myself “I told you so” and go about my work as usual as if nothing had happened.
Iviss, that is a good way to stay sane! My take on people is that they need to do what they have to do to stay sane and cope and some times they make really bad choices on how to go about doing some things! It is often at the expense of others feelings! Some people are so unable to accept that maybe some one else is actually a bit better at something then they are! So, they go about trying to hurt that person, any way they can think of!
I play what I call the What If game all the time with my kids. You know: What if we are actually living in a doll house? What if there is another world out there that has us on it doing the complete opposite of what we do? What if we are actually dead and don’t know it?
I freak the heck out of my oldest daughter but my youngest daughter loves it! 🙂
Just a Mom, I love that. I think it allows the children to open up their way of thinking. It helps enhance them! They are able to have fun with serious subjects. It helps them to see life with open eyes!
I would have to say religion and the bible. There are a lot of things that are going on in the world today that most people think is “OK” when the good book tells us it’s most definately NOT! I’m not a bible thumper or anything like that but I try to live my life as a good person.
I feel philosophical most all the time!!
Gary, we get along for this reason! Thanks!
